Winding & Unwinding the Power Cord This vacuum cleaner is equipped with a convenient cord storage feature. The po wer co r d wi n d s around the two cord holders at the side of the unit. The top cord holder has a quick cord release feature. Turn the cord hook to the left or the right to remove the power cord.

Motor Thermostat Important : This unit is equipped with a motor protective thermostat. If for some reason the vacuum cleaner should overheat, the thermostat will automatically turn the unit off. Should this occur: • Push the On/Off button once. • Disconnect the plug from the power source.
9 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 6. Remove the belt cover (Fig. 30, #1) 7. Lift the right side of the brush bar first and then lift the left hand side. (Fig. 30 #2, #3) 8. Remove the brush bar from the power head. (Fig. 30, #4) 9. Carefully remove any belt residue that may exist in the belt area before replacing with a ne w belt.
12. Insert the right side of the brush bar in first by placing the end cap down into the slot and then do the same with the left side. Press firmly to make sure that each end is completely inserted. 13. Check to make sure that the belt is centered on the agitator pulley and that the brush bar turns.
