3 SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS 1. To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate ano ther high-wattage applianc e on the same circuit. 2. If an extension is absolutely necessary, a 15-ampere rated cord with a polarized pl ug should be used. Cords rated for less am perage may overheat.

5 IMPORTANT Resetting After Auto Shut-Off The auto shut-off safety function of your EURO-PRO EP480 Iron is designed to engage after approximately 8 minutes of non use. The blue indicator light will flash when the auto s hut-off has activated. To reset your iron and continue ironing follow these steps.
6 BEFORE FIRST USE • Remove any labels, stickers or tags which may be attached to the body or soleplate of the iron before using the iron. • Read all instructions for use carefully. • Always follow the Important Safeguards. IMPORTANT The first time an iron is used, so me odor and small white particles ma y come out of the steam vents.

8 FILLING WITH WATER • Ensure the unit is unplugged fr om the main supply before filling. • Set the variable steam c ontrol (4) to position "MIN" (ie. No steam) • slide the water filling inlet cover (7) down and use the measuring beaker (12) to p our the water in through the filling aperture (see picture).
9 IRONING WITH STEAM • Make sure iron is unpl ugged from power source. • Set the variable steam control to ‘0’ . • Fill the iron with water followi ng the instructions for filling. • Plug the cord into a 120 Volt AC electrical outlet. • Set the temperature control dial within the steam area i.
10 WATER SPRAY • Use the spray button to add moisture to stubborn wrinkles. • First make sure that t here is water in the tank. • Press the spray button (6) slow ly to get a jet spray. • Press the spray button strongl y and quickly to get a mist.
11 TO ADD WATER • Unplug iron from the electrical outlet. • Follow instructions to empty the iron. • Then, follow the instructions for filling the iron.
12 CLEANING, STORAGE & MAINTENANCE • Always turn the variab le steam control to ‘0’ after you have emptied the water tank. • Allow iron to cool down. • Always store the iron on the me tal iron rest or in an upri ght position on it’s heel rest to protect the soleplate.
13 Iron Troubleshooting • Water tank may be e mpty or water level is very low. Add water. • Make sure that the temperature control dial and the variable steam control are cor rectly set. For maximum steam (setting ‘Max’ on steam control), tempe rature control dial should be set on ‘•••’.
14 Iron Troubleshooting (continued) • Iron may not be hot enough. Set thermostat to the ‘max’ position. Always allow iron sufficient time to heat up (thermostat light goes of f) before activating the variable steam control. • Auto-Off may be activated.
