5 T o reduce the risk of electric shoc k, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one wa y . If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, rev erse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet.
6 HO W T O USE CA UTION: Ne ver leave plug ged in cleaner unattended. An upright vacuum cleaner will clean an y type of car pet. Use the attachments to clean upholster y or bare floors. When using attachment tools, place the handle in the upright position.
7 POWER 3 Notch Release Button 1. Remove quick connect hose. 2. Open and hold the attachment door . 3. Push hose converter into attachment door (be sure notch in the converter is toward back of cleaner). T o remove con ver ter , push button on bac k of conv er ter and lift to remov e.
8 Ho w T o Use Attachments NOTE: Do not place cleaner on furniture or steps as the brush roll may cause damage. Place cleaner on floor with the handle in storage position while using attachments. Put attachment onto wand. T wist to secure. Crevice wand cleans corners, baseboards, between cushions.

Soft Bag Model 1. Unzip the bag. 2. F old top of paper bag down. Grasp bag collar to remov e dir ty bag from bag inlet. Discard bag. 3. Hold new dust bag collar f acing the bag inlet. 4. Secure lower bag collar behind the tabs . 5. Push bag collar ov er bag inlet.
11 1 . T u rn the cleaner ov er . Pull up to remo v e bottom plate . 2 . Lift out brush roll and discard old belt. 3 . F old ne w belt to slide it around the motor pulle y . 4 . Place belt around pulle y end of brush roll. 5 . Pull left end of brush roll down to stretch belt.
