4 To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one b lade is wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one wa y . If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet.

Cord Retainer When preparing to use vacuum, firmly push the electrical cord down into the cord retainer . This will place the electrical cord out of the way while you vacuum. 6 HO W T O USE (continued) Handle Collapse Button To collapse the handle from the upright position, press handle collapse button, rotate handle down.
