Quick Reference Guide T o begin using your Passport, just follow these simple steps 1 Plug the small end of the power cord into the side jack of the detector, and plug the large end of the power cord into your car’s lighter socket. 2 Mount your Passport on the windshield using the supplied windshield mount.

Press the Dim button to select your preferred brightness. If you prefer, you can have Passport always turn on at a specific brightness.

Because signals are sometimes reflected off of large objects and sometimes not, the alerts may seem inconsistent. A patrol car is approaching from the other direction, sampling traffic with instant-on radar.

T roubleshooting 24 Problem Passport beeps briefly at the same location every day, but no radar source is in sight. Passport does not seem sensitive to radar or laser. Passport did not alert when a police car was in view. Passport did not provide a Safety signal while within range of an emergency vehicle.
