Prepa ring Your Phone for Use 5 Y ou n eed to do th e following to use your phone: • insert the SIM card • attach t he bat tery to the phone • char ge the batt ery When yo u regist er as a su bscr iber with a networ k oper ator , you get a SIM (Subscribe r Identity Modu le) card.
6 Prep aring Y our Ph one for U se If your PIN is en tered inc orrectly th ree times in a r ow , the SIM card is blocked . If this happens, you c an unlock it by using y our PUK (Person al Unblocki ng Key co de), which y ou also get fr om your oper ator.
Prepa ring Your Phone for Use 7 Charging the Batt ery Note! The elect rical plug m ay look diffe r ent dep ending on the ele ctrical ou tlet in your country. Do not connect it to any other item than yo ur Ericsson T ravel Charger CTR-10. It must not b e disconne cted from the charger when plugged into t he ele ctric al ou tlet.
8 Prep aring Y our Ph one for U se When t he batte ry is full y charged , the batt ery m eter in the disp lay is ful l and the indicator on the top of the phone sho ws a steady green l ight. This is useful for e xample if you wan t to keep business calls and p rivate c alls on sepa rate lines.

86 Extra s Solitaire The ob ject o f Solitaire is to form four pil es of cards, one pe r suit, running from ace to king. Th e cards are dea lt out into seven columns . The last six column s have one or m ore cards f acing down wards. If t he top card in a column i s removed, revea ling the fac e-down ca rd, you may t urn it face up.
The Prof ile Concept 87 The Profile Concept Y ou r phone inc ludes a nu mber o f pre-progra mmed pro files. A prof ile is a group of s ettin gs which are se t to suit a ce rtain en vironmen t. For examp le, when you go to a me eting, you can j ust choose the Meeting profile and a number of setting s that suit a m eetin g are set.
