You will need to set other parameters before using some o f the features. You can a ls o persona lize you r phone by chang ing sett ings suc h as the ring tone or melody , ring level, o r display lig ht.

R290 User’s Guide 14 Making and Receiving Ca lls This chapter desc ribes how to make and receive calls, in both Glo balstar and GSM mod e, how to make i nternat ional an d emergenc y calls , how to show or hide you r phone number wh en calling, and how to handle two calls simultan eously.
R290 User’s Guide 15 Receiving a Call When you receive a call, the phone rings and the indi cator ligh t on th e top of the pho ne blin ks green ra p idly. The disp lay appea rs simila r to: Answering a Call Press YES t o answer the cal l. When the call is fini shed , press NO .
R290 User’s Guide 16 Handling T wo Calls Your ph one can han dle two ca lls sim ultane ously. This allows yo u to hold one call and make or receiv e ano ther, then you can switch betw ee n the two calls. To be a ble to rec eive a seco nd call, you must a ctivate th e Call Wait functio n, see “Perso nalizin g You r Phon e” on p age 30.
