Power switch Use thi s switch to t urn on or of f the printe r. Cover open lever Press down this lever to open the roll paper cover.

6 English Setup Installing the Printer Install the printer horizontally on a flat surface. As shown in th e illustr ation, install the p rinter wit h a maximum ti lt of 3°. Install ing the print er with a tilt of more than 3° may cause the following problems.
7 English Connecting the AC Adapt er Follow th e steps bel ow to connec t the AC adapte r. ! WAR NIN G: Be sure to use the specif ied AC adapter [AC adapter, RA (Model: M266A )]. Connection to an improper power source may lead to equi pment damage, fire, or electric shock.
8 English Connecting Extern al Devices If you c onnec t ext ernal device s, connec t each cable to th e port /connect or on th e bac k of the printe r. ( U “Inte rface ” on p age 5 ) ! CAUTION: ❏ When connec ting external d evices to th e USB (inc luding Mic ro-USB) ports, follow th e precautions belo w.
9 English Attaching the Power Switch Cover Attachi ng the enc losed powe r switch cover prevent s inadv ertent chan ging of th e power swi tch and tamperin g. You can turn the power switch on and off by inse rting a sh arp-poi nted object in t he holes in the powe r switch cover.
10 English Basic Operations Turning Power On/ Off Press the power switch to turn on/off the printer. Q Note: It takes ap proximately 30 seco nds after the prin ter is turned on u ntil it is r eady for printing. Opening the Roll Paper Cover Press down the cover open leve r to open the roll pap er cover.

13 English Cleani ng Cleaning the Printer Case Be sure to turn off the pri nter, and w ipe the dir t off the pri nter case wit h a dry cloth o r a damp cloth. ! CAUTION: Never clean t he printer with a lcohol, be nzine, thinner, or other such solvents.
