5 Printing Before y ou print, make sure your printer is set up and its softwar e is installed as described on the Start Here sheet. Loading Paper 1. Open the output tray and its extension. 2. Insert your paper against the right edge of the sheet feeder , behind the tab.

F or the best-looking photos, most vivid co lors, and greatest detail, always use genuine Epson ® papers and inks. ■ Choose the right printer settings. Y our printer automatically adjusts itself for each type of paper .

Problems and Solutions 13 Your printout is blurry or smeared. ■ Make sur e the printable side of the paper is face-up. I t ’ s usually shinier or whiter than the other side.
14 Solving Problems Paper doesn’t eject fully or is wrinkled. ■ If the paper doesn ’ t eject fully , you may hav e set the wrong paper size. P ress the paper button to eject the paper , th en select the correct paper size. ■ If it ’ s wrinkled when it ejects, the paper may be damp or too thin.
Problems and Solutions 15 The margins are incorrect. ■ Make sur e the paper Size setting matches the paper y ou loaded. ■ Make sur e the paper is positioned all th e way to the right of the sheet feeder . Slide the left edge guide against the paper .
16 Solving Problems Cleaning the Print Head F ollo w the instructions below to clean the print head: 1. Make sur e the printer is turned on but not printing, and the red ink light is off. 2. Right-click the printer icon on your taskbar (in the lower right corner of your screen).
