4 Copying a Photo Her e ’ s how to make a copy of a 4 × 6-inch photo using E pson P remium Glossy Photo P aper: 1 Open the output tray . 2 Pinch the sides of the left edge guide together as you slide the guide all the way to the left. 3 Flip the feeder guard forward.
5 4 Insert a sheet of 4 × 6 P remium Glossy Photo P aper against the right edge of the sheet feeder . Make sur e the shiny side is up and the short edge of the paper is inser ted first, as shown. 5 Slide the left edge guide against the paper (but not too tightly).
6 7 Open the scanner lid. 8 Place your photo face do wn on the glass, in the upper left corner . Mo ve it about 0.1 inch from the top and side edge so the entire photo is scanned.
7 9 Close the scanner lid. 10 P ress the P On button to turn on the RX500. W ait a minute while it warms up. 11 P ress the Copy button. 12 P ress the Menu button. Y ou see this scr een: 13 P ress the OK button. 14 P ress the gr een button next to the scr een to display BorderFree .
8 16 P ress the L CD screen buttons as indicated until you see these settings: Note: Alwa y s c h oose Auto Fit Page f or borderless prints. 17 P ress the x Color button. Y our photo is copied. Note: If you need to cancel cop ying , press the y Stop but ton.
9 Printing Photos from a Memory Card Her e ’ s how to print 4 × 6-inch photos on P remium Glossy Photo P aper directly from your digital camera ’ s memor y card. F irst you need to load plain paper and insert your memory card. Then you ’ll print and scan an index sheet to select the photos you want to print.
10 3 Flip the feeder guard forward. 4 Insert some plain paper against the right edge of the sh eet feeder . 5 Slide the left edge guide against the paper (but not too tightly).
11 6 Flip the feeder guard back o ver the paper . 7 P ress the P On button to turn on the RX500. W ait a minute while it warms up. 8 Open the memory card slot co ver .
12 9 Insert your memory card into the correct slot. Be careful not to force it (it won ’ t go in all the way). Do not insert more than one card at a time. The memory card light turns green. 10 Close the memory card slot cov er . The message Found Images appears on the LCD scr een.
13 Selecting and Printing Your Photos 1 P ress the Memory Card button. Print Index appears on the L CD screen. (If Print Index doesn ’ t appear , pr ess the top left LCD button repeatedly until it appears.) 2 P ress the OK button. 3 P ress the x Color button to print the index.
14 Note: Lea v e yo ur memor y card in the memory card slot so that you can print from it. 4 Look at the printed index. Ch oose the photo or photos you want to print. 5 On the index, use a dark pen to fill in the ov al under each photo you want to print.
15 7 Flip the feeder guard forward. 8 Remo ve any remaining sheets of plain paper , and insert some 4 × 6 P remium Glossy P hoto P aper against the right edge of the sheet feeder . Make sure the shiny side is up and the short edge of the paper is inserted first, as shown.
16 10 Flip the feeder guard back o ver the paper . 11 Open the scanner lid and place the index face down on the glass, in the upper left corner . 12 Close the scanner lid. Then pr ess the x Color button. Y our photo(s) are scanned and printed. copyand print.

18 If you hav e faded photos or negatives, you can bring them back to life using the Color Restoration setting in your scanner softwar e. Y ou can select this setting in Smart P anel or EPSON Scan. ❍ In S mart P anel, click the Reprint Photos icon, then click the Color Restoration icon on the scr een th at appears.
