3. Check that the prin ter is no t operating, and th en pull out pa per cass ette 1. Paper c assette 1 has an a lign ment mark that allows y ou to locat e it easily . c Impor t ant: If paper cassette 1 is too far inside the printer , turn the printer o and on aga in.
c Impor t ant: ❏ Ma ke sure the paper does not extend beyond the triangle symbol at the end of the cassette. ❏ Do not load more than the maximu m nu mber of sheets specied for t he paper . Do not l oad pa per abo v e the line ind icated by the triangle symbol on the edge guide.
8. Insert paper cass ette 1. Line up the alignment marks o n the print er and the tray . 9. Check the pap er size and pape r type s ettings displayed on the contr ol panel. T o use the settings, s elect Conrm using the u or d bu tto n, pr ess the OK bu tton, and then go to step 11.
Loading P aper in the P aper Cassette 2 Y ou can load almost any type o f paper . W e recommend loading A4 size plain pape r as this is used frequently .
5. Slide the front edge guide to the paper size you wan t to use. 6. W ith the prin table side facing down, load paper against the fron t edge guide. c Impor t ant: ❏ Ma ke sure the paper does not extend beyond the triangle symbol at the end of the cassette.

Y ou can place photos o f di erent sizes at the same time. e photos should be larger than 30 × 40mm. ❏ T o copy a CD/DVD label, place the CD/DVD in the cen ter of the scanner g lass. If the CD/D VD is not placed exactl y in the cen ter , the positio ning is auto matically adj usted .
Inser ting a Memor y Car d Suppor ted Memor y Cards miniSD * miniSDHC * microSD* microSDHC * microSD X C * SD SDHC SDX C * Attach an adapter to t the memor y card slot. Lo ading a CD/DVD f or Printing Prin table CD/DVDs Y ou can prin t on a ci rcular 12-cm CD/DVD labelled as sui t able fo r printing, f or exam ple "printable on the lab el surface" or "prin table with ink jet printers.
1. Press the button a nd se le c t Loa d C D/ D V D using the u or d but ton, and then press the OK bu tto n . Selec t Ye s using the u or d bu tto n and press the O K but ton. 2. A message is displayed on the sc reen telling you that the printer is p repar ing, and then you are instructed to load a CD/D VD .
7. Insert the CD/DVD tray in to the print er . Line up the alignment marks on the printer and the tray . 8. Press the OK but ton. When a message is displayed on the s creen telling you that the print er is ready , press the OK button.

Printing Photos U sing O ther F eatures is section in t roduces the o ther prin ting featur es available using the contro l panel. Printing in V arious Layouts Y ou can print the photos o n your memo r y c ard in various layo uts such as 2-up , 4-up, and u pper half.
DPOF Prin ting is prin ter is com p atible wi t h DPOF (Digi t al Print Or der Format) V er . 1.10. DPOF is a fo rmat that stores additional information fo r phot os such as the date, time, user name , and prin ting informatio n. DPOF-co mpatible cameras allow you to set which image on a memo r y card to prin t and t he number of cop ies.

Printing Multiple F iles T ogether (for W indows Only) Job A r r a ng e r L it e allows you to co mbine several les creat ed by dierent applications and prin t them as a single prin t job . Y ou can specify the print settings fo r combined les, s uch as layo ut, p rint or der , and orientation.
Printing One Image on Multiple Sheets to Cr eate a Poster (f or Wi n d o ws O n l y ) is featur e allows yo u to print o ne image on m ultiple s heets of paper . Y ou can cr e ate a larg er poster by tapin g the m tog eth er . Not e: is fea tur e is not av ailab le fo r bor derless pri nt ing.
Making Posters U sing O ver lapping Alignment Marks He re is an example o f how to make a poster when 2x2 P o ster is selec ted, and O verlapping Alignment Marks is sele cted i n Print Cut ting Guides .
2. Place the edg e of Sheet 1 o n top o f Sheet 2 and align the cross mar ks, then tempo rarily tape the two sheets tog ether fro m the back. 3. Cu t the taped sheets in two alo ng the vertical r ed line thr ough the alignmen t markers (this time , the line to th e le of the cros s marks).
4. T ape the sheet s tog ether fro m the back. 5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 to tape Sheet 3 and Sheet 4 t ogether . 6. Cu t o the margins of Sh eet 1 and Sheet 2 al ong the ho rizontal bl ue line thro ugh the cen ter o f the le and righ t side cross m arks.
7. Place the edge of Sheet 1 and Sheet 2 on top o f Sh eet 3 and Sheet 4 and align the cross marks, and then tem porarily tape them tog ether fro m the bac k.

Y ou can set the print range f or the CD/DVD to a minimum o f 18 m m fo r the inner diameter , and a maximum of 120 mm for the ou ter diameter . Depending on the set tings, the CD/DVD o r tray may be smeared. Set within the print ran ge for the CD/DVD yo u want to prin t.
Printing U sing Epson iPrint Start Epso n iPrint fr om yo ur smart device and s elect the item you wan t to use from the home screen. e follo wing s creens ar e subject to chan ge without no tice. A Home screen displayed when the application is star ted.
Using AirPrint AirPrint enables instan t wireless printin g f ro m iPhone, iP ad, and iPod touc h with the latest v ersio n of iOS, and Mac wi th the latest ve rsion of OS X. Not e: If you disabled paper con gurat ion messages on your prod u ct cont rol pa nel, you cannot use AirPrint.

3. Follow the on-screen instruc tions, set the print area by specif ying the outer diameter using the l or r button, and the inner diameter using t he u or d bu tto n, and then press the O K butto n. Not e: Y ou can set 114 to 120 mm as the outer diam eter , and 18 to 46 mm as the inner diam eter in 1 mm incr e ments.

Scanning by Adjusting the Imag e Quality (Prof essional Mode) Y ou can scan images while adjus ting the quality and co lo r . is mo de is recommended for advanced users.
Scanning from Smar t Device s Ep son iPrin t is an application that allo ws you to scan pho tos and documents from a sm ar t device, such as a smartpho ne or tablet, that is connected t o the same wireles s network as your printer . Y ou can save the scanned data on a smart dev ice or to Cloud ser vices, se nd it b y email, or prin t it.
A Home screen displayed when the application is star ted. B Displays information on how to setup the printer and a F AQ . C Displays the screen where you can select the printer and make printer setting s. Once you have select ed the printer , you do not need to select it again from the next time.
Replacing Ink Ca r tridges Checking the Ink Lev els Y ou can check the appr oximate ink levels f rom the co ntrol p anel or the com put e r . Checking the Ink Lev els - Control P anel 1. Enter Set up f rom the home screen using the l or r bu tto n, and then press the OK bu tton.

❏ Y ou cannot use the cart ridges t hat came with the printer for the r eplacement. ❏ Quoted yields may var y depe nding on the images that yo u are prin ting, the pa per typ e that you are using, the frequency of your prints and en vironmental condition s such as temperature.
