21 3. Click Cus tom , and then cli ck the Advanced butt on. Yo u see the A dvan ced dial og box: 4. Check the M edi a Ty pe and Ink settings. These sett ings are the same as the ones you sele ct e d on t he Main dialog box. You can change them here as you custo m i ze your setting s, if needed.
22 Using Special Papers How can you get the b est -look ing p hotos , m ost v ivid col ors, and sharpe st text? Always use EPSON ’s special ink jet pa pers. To show you how much difference EPSON paper can make, we’v e inc lud ed so me f ree samp les.

31 Replacing an Ink Cartridge When the B black or A color i nk o ut lig ht flashe s, the ind ic ated car trid ge is low on ink. Th is is a good tim e to ma ke sure you ha ve a new c artrid ge. W hen the li ght stay s on, the car tridge is empt y and yo u ne ed to rep lace it .
32 Removing and Instal ling Ink Cartridg es You can r eplace a cartri dge when the B black or A color in k out ligh t i s ei ther flash ing or on. (I f you pe rform t hese st eps w hen b oth ink ou t lig hts are off, t he pri nter cleans the print heads as described on p age 27.
33 5. Pull up the ink ca rtrid g e clamp. The cartridge rises up from its holder. (The illu stratio n sho ws th e co lor i nk c artr idge repl aceme nt. To r eplace the bla ck ink car trid ge, li ft u p only the s ma ller c lamp on the le ft.) 6. Li ft t he c art ridg e ou t of the p rint er and disp ose of it c are full y.
