- 1 - CoPilot Ov erview W elcome to CoPilot Live! CoPilot will provide you with accurate, tu rn-by-turn spok en directions and street-le vel maps that guide you to any destination you specify . If you tak e a wrong turn, CoPilot instantly r e-calculates your route.

- 9 - 3. When the search process is complete, a scrollable list of matches will appear . In this scre en you ha ve several choices, you ca n: • Highlight a POI and tap Map to pre view it on the map (see below) • Ta p Expand to expand the area of the search (this can be done twice) • Highlight a POI and tap Finish to enter it as a destination.
- 11 - Contact Integr ation CoPilot allows you to link directly to y our Contacts to retrieve addr ess information. With just a few of quick ta ps of the stylus, you can ente r a contact’ s home and/or work address as your destination.

The T rip Itinerar y is a scrollable set of driving directions for the cur rent trip . Roa ds on your route can be a voided using this screen (see p .
- 17 - Map Modes CoPilot gives you a choice of sev eral different displa y modes for the Map Screen: 3D P erspective CoPilot’ s two-dimensional default displa y mode can be changed to a thr ee- dimensional perspective based off an isometric camera angle.
- 19 - Picking Stops Fr om the Map CoPilot enables you to pick a st op off the map wh en you don’ t know the exact address of your destination. In any mode, tap and hold on y o ur target location on the map, then add it as a stop. 1. In any mode, tap and hod on your target location on the map .
- 21 - Detour Fea ture CoPilot’ s Detour Feature allows y ou to preview an alternate r oute before deciding whether or not to take it. Perf ect for situations in wh ich traffic has su ddenly slowed ahead of you, the Detour Feature will generate an alternate r oute.
- 23 - Menu Options T ap the top of either the Map Screen or the Driver Safety Screen to access the menu bar . Then tap Menu and select Options . Routing In the Routing tab , the vehicle type options ar e Automobile or RV . RV routes fa vor major r oads and av oid sharp turns and U-tu rns wherev er possible .

T o change the assignment of y our work or home address, highlight your choice on the l ist, then tap Menu and choose Set as work or Set as home . NO TE: POI’ s cannot be edited, you will get a “No matches found” error message if y ou try.
- 27 - Modes Menu CoPilot has four modes of operation on the mobile device. T ap the pop-up Mode menu at the bottom of the screen to select Guidance , Navigating , Wa l k i n g , or Planning Mode . Guidance Mode In Guidance Mode, you enter one or more destinations, then tap the Start Driving button to s tart driving and receive guidance.

- 31 - Map Scr een The Map Screen displa ys when you are trav eling at less than 16 k.p.h. or are at a standstill. It combines a large map displa y and concise text instructions. When you’ re within 1 kilometer of a turn, CoPilot automatically switches to the map.
- 33 - T rip Planning on Y our Mobile De vice Y ou can use CoPilot on your mobile device for tr ip planning. Planning Mode allows you to run a trip on your mobile device even when y ou're not in your car . Y ou'll get driving directions and maps that y ou can use for ref erence bef ore your trip begins.
- 35 - Installing CoPilot to Y our Desktop CoPilot Live comes fully installed and ready to us e for r oute guidance on your mobi le device. Howe ver , you will want to install CoPilot to your desktop if 1) you’ d like to use the extensiv e trip planning features a vailable with a desktop installation, or 2) you’ re adding a data region.
- 37 - Licence Update The CoPilot desktop software contains str eet-lev el maps for all of Eur ope , and CoPilot is offered with differ ent licences that allow you to use some or all of these maps on your mobile device.
- 39 - Tr i p to select a corridor along a route between two places; Region to select a whole country or region. (3) Do wnload the Data: (3a) T o a St orage Card in your Mobile Device: 1. Ensure that your mobile device is connected to the desktop/la ptop.
- 41 - City Radius Data Selection This method allows you to quickl y select data in the shape of a cir cle surrounding any city on the map . In the Data Download Wizard you ty pe a city name and country abbreviation or postal code and enter the distance you would lik e the radius to extend ar ound the city , then click Next .
- 43 - 2. Enter a City , State or ZIP code (addr ess optional) within the area that you would lik e to download. Click Next . 3. Click and h old the left mouse b utton and drag the cursor to dra w a box around a desired area. The size of the ar ea will be display ed in the toolbar .
- 45 - 3. T o search for a POI, click the Points of Interest tab, enter a City , State or a ZIP Code and click the Find button. Y ou can spe ed up your search by selecting a P OI Category and/or Ty p e . Highlight a selection, click Select , then Add Stop .
- 47 - Check Include EU Highway Netw ork to download CoPilot’ s complete European Highway Network along with your data. This additional download re quires a ppro ximately 59 MB of space on your mobile device.
- 49 - Tr i p Tr a n s f e r When you use the Tr i p download option, CoPilot transfers whole trips to your mobile de vice. The trip you cr eate, including its Itinerar y , is transferred along with the surrounding data corridor , and it becomes the current trip .
- 51 - 4. In the next s creen y ou'll see the data from y our file sorted into columns. If th e columns you see in the screen ha ve not sorted the address data correctly , you need to indicate which delimiter CoPilot should recognize when it separates th e fields in your file into columns.
- 53 - Editing Custom Plac es in the Database After custom places hav e been added to the database, they can be edited at any time. Select Manage Custom Plac es from the T ools menu, then highlight the custom place y ou wish to edit, click Edit , and make y our changes.
- 55 - Run T rip Edit T rip Generates the route for the trip you entered. Displa ys a detailed Tr i p Summary , Ma p and Driving Dir ections . T akes y ou back to the T rip Planner window where you can edit stops on your existing trip or click Clear to delete all stops and begin a new trip.
- 57 - Print Help T akes y ou to the standard Windo ws Print options for printing the active window that contains your map or driving dir ections. Activate the map or directions b y clicking on it or selecting it in the Window menu. Select Print T ravP ak.

For example, in the General tab you can choose the measure of distance (miles vs. kilometers), and the Map tab lets you adjust the appearance of featur es on the map such as roads and points of inter est.

Select the Contacts address type (as defined in Outlook) to get the appropriate ad dress, then click the Add Stop button to add it to your Itinerary .
- 67 - Fuel Cost Calculator T o calculate an estimate of your fuel costs f or a trip, select Fuel Cost Calculator fr om the Tr i p menu before y ou run your route. Fill in the av erage cost per gallon of fuel that you expect to pa y , and the distance per gallon y ou can expect to get in your vehicle.
