3 P R E P AR A T I O N F O R U S E POWER SOURCES This personal stereo radio with AM/FM/TV and Weather Band digital tuner is designed to operate on one alkaline “ AAA ” batter y , not included. Attempting to operate this unit on any other power source may cause damage to the unit and such damage is not covered by your warranty.
4 ARM-BAND STRAP INS TA LL ATION This radio is supplied with an accessory arm-band strap to secure the radio on your arm while you are jogging or performing other strenuous activities. To install the arm-band strap, thread the strap through the two slots on the back cabinet as shown, and then through the buckle.

7 O P E R A T I N G I N S T RUC T I O N S • Make sure the battery is installed correctly. • Set the VOLUME control to a low level. • Fully unwind the headphone cord and connect the headphone plug to the PHONES jack. The plug must be fully inserted into the jack, otherwise the sound may be intermittent.
8 HOLD Switch “ ” The HOLD switch locks all of the other controls buttons. If you are carrying the radio in a backpack, handbag, gym bag, etc, set the HOLD switch to the ‘ On ’ position to prevent it from turning ‘ On ’ accidentally by something pressing against the PO WER button.
9 SETTING THE CLOCK The clock must be set with the radio ‘ Off ’. 1.) Press the MEMORY/CLOCK SET button for at least two seconds. The time display begins to flash. 2.) While the display is flashing press the TUNING + /CLOCK SE T-H button to adjust the hou r.
1 0 LISTENING TO RADIO Information This radio receives normal AM and FM broadcasts plus the TV sound from VHF TV stations 2 through 13. In addition it receives all 7 NOAA weather frequencies so you can listen to continuous National Weather Service broadcasts.
1 1 OPER ATION 1.) Make sure that the HOLD button is in the ‘ Off ’ position. (The HOLD indicator does not appear in the display.) 2.) Press the PO WER button to turn the radio ‘ On ’ . An AM, FM, TV or Weather Band frequency will appear in the display.
1 2 PRESETTING S TA TIONS IN THE TUNER MEMORY Y ou may preset up to 42 of your favorite stations (20 FM, 10 AM, 7 T V , and 5 Weather) in the tuner memory for easy recall at any time. 1.) Tune to the first station that you wish to memorize. Example: FM 103.
