INTR ODUCTION The Emerson Media Air Cleaner comes complete with a 4” media furnace air fi lter. This fi lter m ust be changed ev er y three to six months to maintain effi ciency of the fi lter and furnace system.
3 HO W THE AIR FIL TER WORKS Dir ty air fl ows through your return air ducts and enters the compar tment where par ticles (hair , lint, etc.) are remov ed by the fi lter . See fi gure 1. Filtered air re-enters to the supply duct system of your building.
4 PREINST ALLA TION LOCA TING THE AIR FIL TER Y our air fi lter m ust be mounted in the retur n air duct of a central f orced-air system, on the air enter ing side of y our fur nace. (See Figure 3 f or example). Select a location that meets the f ollowing: 1.
