About the Product Y our LCD Desktop T ouchmonitor is a 19” SXGA TFT color display with the f ollowing features: • The internal microprocessor digitally controls auto-sca nning, f or horizontal sca n frequencie s between 31.5 KHz a nd 80 KHz, a nd vertical sca n frequencies between 56.

In stalling the Driver Software Elo T ouchSystems provide s driver software that allows your touchmonitor to work with your computer . Drivers are located on the enclosed CD-ROM for the f ollowing operating syste ms: • W indows XP • W indows 2000 • W indows Me • W indows 98 • W indows 95 • W indows NT 4.
In stalling the Serial T ouch Driver In stalling the Serial T ouch Driver f or W indows XP , Windows 2000, Me, 95/98 a nd NT4.0 NOTE: For Windows 2000 and NT 4.0 you must have administrator access rights to install the driver. 1 Insert the Elo CD-ROM in your computer's CD-ROM drive.
In stalling the Serial T ouch Driver for MS-DOS a nd Windows 3.1 Y ou must have a DOS mouse driver (MOUSE.COM) installed for your mouse if you wish to continue using your mouse along with your touchmonitor in DOS.
In stalling the USB T ouch Driver Installing the USB Touch Driver for Windows XP, Windows 2000, Me, 95/98 and NT4.0 1 Insert the Elo CD-ROM in your computer’s CD-ROM drive. If W indows 98, W indows Me or W indows 2000 starts the Add New Hardware W izard: 2 Choose Next .

CHAPTER 3 O PERA TION About T ouchmonitor Adjustments Y our touchmonitor will unlikely require a djustment. V ari ations in video output a nd a pplication may require a djustments to your touchmonitor to opti mize the quality of the display .

Controls a nd Adjustment OSD Menu Function s T o Display a nd Select the OSD Functions: 1 Press the Menu key to a ctivate the OSD menu. 2 Use or to move clockwise or counterclockwise through the menu. Press the select key on the monitor . The para meter will be highlighted when selected.

Pre set Modes T o reduce the need f or a djustment for dif f erent mode s, the monitor ha s default setting modes that are most commonly used a s given in the ta ble below . If a ny of these display modes are detected, the monitor automatically a djusts the picture size a nd centering.
Power M a n age ment Syste m The monitor is equi pped with the power ma nage ment function which automatically reduces the power consumption when not in use. Power Mode Consumption O n <50W Sleep <4W Off <2W W e recommend switching the monitor off when it is not in use f or a long ti me.
CHAPTER 4 T ROUBLESHOOTING If you are experiencing trouble with your touchmonitor , refer to the f ollowing ta ble. If the proble m persists, plea se conta ct your local dealer or our service center . APPENDIX A N A TIVE R ESOLUTION The native resolution of a monitor is the resolution level at which the LCD pa nel is designed to perform best. For the LCD touchmonitor, the native resolution is 1280 x 1024 for the 19 inch size. In almost all ca ses, screen i mages look be st when viewed at the ir native resolution.
As a n example, a XGA resolution LCD pa nel has 1024 pixels horizontally by 768 pixels vertically . Input video is also represented by the sa me terms.
