Defrost Sett ing - This setting is in- tended to assist in thawing of frozen food.
Thermostat Control Knob Turn the ther mostat control knob c lock- wise to select temperatures betwe en 50°C and 250°C. Thermostat Control Light The thermostat co ntrol indicator will come on wh en the thermostat co ntrol knob is turned. The in dicator will remain on until the correct tempera ture is reached.

This is quite normal. The action of the cooling fan will de- pend on how long the o ven has been used and at what temperature.
Remove all packagin g, both inside and outsid e the oven, before using the oven. Before using for the first time, the oven should be heated up without food. During this time, an unpleasant odour may be emitted. Th is is absolutely nor- mal. It is cau sed by manufactu ring resi- dues.
Always cook wit h the oven door closed. Stand cl ear when opening the drop down oven door. Do no t al- low it to fall open - suppo rt the door using the door handle, until it is fully open.
Fan Cooking The air inside the oven is hea ted by the element around the fan situate d behind the back pane l. The fan circulates hot air to maintain an even temper ature inside the oven.
– The meat tin should not be placed on a heated hotplate as this may cause the enamel to crack. How to use the Fan Oven 1. Turn the oven function control knob to symbol 2. Turn the thermostat co ntrol to the re- quired temperatu re. Things to note • The oven li ght will come on when the oven fun ction contr ol knob is set.
Hints and Tips • Prepare foods in the same way as for conventional grilling. Brush lean meats and fish lightly with a little oil or butter to keep them moist during cooking. • Cover food with a li d, aluminium foil or plastic film to prevent drying out dur- ing defros ting.
Do not line t he oven with aluminiu m foil and do not place a roasting pan or baking tray o n the floor, as other- wise the oven enamel will be dam- aged by the heat build-up.
