6 How to avoid damage to the appliance • Do not line the oven with alumin ium foil and do not place baking trays, pots, etc. on the oven floor , as the heat that builds up will dam- age the oven enamel. • Fruit juices dripping fr om the baking tray will leave stains, which you will not be able to r emove.

9 Befor e Using for the first time Setting and changing the time 3 The oven only operates when the time has been set. When the appliance has been con- nected to the electrical supply or when ther e has been a power cut, the function indicator Time flashes automatically .
10 Initial Cleaning Before using the oven f or the fir st ti me you should clean it thoroughly . 1 Caution: Do not use any caustic, abrasive cleaner s! The surface could be damaged. 3 To clean metal fr onts use commer cially available cleaning agents.
11 Using the Oven Switching the Oven On and Off Switching the oven on Turn the oven functions control knob to the desired function. The oven power indicator lights up. The temperatur e display shows the sug- gested temperatur e for the oven function selected.
12 Changing the oven temper ature Use the / control knob to r aise or lower the temperatur e. The setting changes in steps of 5 °C. Switching the oven off To turn the oven off, turn the oven functions contr ol knob to the OFF position.
13 3 Heat indicator Indicates warming up When the oven function has been switched on the bars that slowly light up one after the other indicate how far the oven has heated up. Fa st heat ind icator When the fast heat func tion has been switched on the bars that flash one after the other indi- cate that fast heat is oper ating.
14 Speedcook After an oven function is selected, using the additional function Speedcook the empty oven can be pre-heated in a r elatively short time. 1 Important : Do not put the food to be cooked into the oven, until Speedcook is comp leted and the oven is oper ating using the desired function.
15 Oven Functions The oven has the following functions: Oven function Application Heating elem ent/ fan Light Using this function you can light up the oven inte rior , e.g. for cleaning. --- Fan-assisted circulation For baking on u p to two oven levels.
16 Inserting the Shelf and Tr ay 3 Anti-tip device All slide-in units have a small bulge on the left and right. This bulge is an anti-tip device and must always point to the rear of the oven. Inserting tray: The anti-tip device must point to- wards the r ear of the oven.
17 Clock Functions Cook time To set how long the oven is to be in use. End time To set when the oven is to switch off again. Countdown To set a countdown. A signal so unds after the time has elapsed. This function does not affect the functioning of the oven.
18 3 How to use the clock functions • After a clock function has been se lected, the corresponding function indicator flashes for about 5 seconds. During this period, the desired times can be set or modified using the / dial. • When the desired time has been set, the function indicator continues to flash for approx.
19 Countdown 1. Press the Select button repeated- ly until the function indicator Countdown flashes. 2. Using the / control knob set the desired countdown (max. 99.00 minutes). The function indicator Countdown lights up. When 90% of the time set has elapsed, an audible signal sounds.
20 Cook time 1. Select the oven function and tem- pe rat ure . 2. Press the Select button repeated- ly until the function indicator Cook time flashes. 3. Using the / control knob set the desired cooking time (max. 09.59 hours). The function indicator Cook time lights up and the oven comes on immediately .
21 End time 1. Select the oven function and temperatur e. 2. Press the Select button repeated- ly until the End time function in- dicator flas hes. 3. Using the / control knob set the desired switch-off time. The function indicator End time lights up and the oven comes on immediately .
22 Cook time and End time com bined 3 Cook time and End time can be used simultaneously , if the oven is to be switched on and off automatically at a later time . 1. Select the oven function and temperatur e. 2. Using the Cook time function, set the time that the dish needs to cook, In this example, 1 hour .
23 Other Functions Switching off the display 2 Y ou can save ener gy by switching off the clock display . Switching off the clock display 1. Turn t he / cont r ol knob t o the right and hold it. 2. In addition press the Select but- ton until the display goes out.
24 Deactivating the child safety device 1. Turn the / dial to the left and hold it. 2. In addition press the Select butt on until “SAFE” disappears ”from“ the display . The child safety device i s now deac tivated and the oven is again r eady for use.
25 Uses , T ables and Tips Baking Oven function: Fan-assisted cir culation or Conventional Baking tins • For Conventional , dark metal and non-stick tins ar e suitable. • For F an-assisted cir culation bright metal tins ar e also suitable. Oven levels • Baking with Conventional is only possible on one level.
26 General Instructions • Insert the tray with the bevel at the fr ont. • With Conventional or Fan-assi sted circulation you can also bake with two tins next to one another on the oven shelf at the same time. This does not significantly increase baking time.

34 Wide grilling Oven function: Dual gril with maximum te mper ature se tting 1 Important: Always grill with the oven door closed. 3 • The empty oven should always be pr e-heated with the g rill func- tions for 5 minutes . • For grilling, use both the oven shel f and the r oasting tra y together .
35 Defr osting Oven function: Defrost (no t emper atur e setting) • Unwrap the food and place it on a plate on the oven shelf. • Do not cover with a plate or bowl, as these can substa ntially lengthen the defrosting time. • For defrosting, plac e the shelf in the 1st oven level fr om the bot- tom .
36 Making Pr eserves Oven function: Bottom heat • For preserving, use only commer cially available pr eserve jars of the same size. • Jars with twist-off or bayonet type lids and metal tins are not suitable . • When making preserves, the first shelf position from the bottom is the one most used.

38 Cleaning and Car e 1 War n in g : For cleaning, the appliance must b e switched off and cooled down. War n in g : For safety reasons, do not clean the appliance with steam jet or high-pr essure cleaning equ ipment. Attention: Do not use any scouring agents, sharp cleaning tools or scourers .
39 Pyr olytic cleaning 1 War n in g: The oven gets very hot during this process. K eep small chil- dren away . 1 Important: Before carrying out the pyroly tic cleaning pr ocess all r e- movable parts, with the exception of the side rails, must be removed from the oven.
40 Side r ails To clean the sides of the oven, the le ft and right side rails can be r e- moved from the oven. Ta king out the side rails 1. Loosen the screw . 2. Pull the r ails away fr om the wall at the back of the oven and swing them forwards (1).
41 2. Swing the rails towar ds the back and insert into the holes (2). 3. Re-tighten the screw . Oven Lighting 1 War n in g: Ther e is a danger of electric shock! Prior to changing the oven light bulb: – Switch off the oven! – Remove the fuses in the fuse box or switch off the circ uit breaker .
42 Oven Door The oven door of your appliance may be removed for cleaning. Removing the oven door 1. Open the oven door completely . 2. Completely fold back the brass- coloured clamping lever on both door hinges. 3. Grip the oven door with both hands on the sides and close it to about 3/4 going past the point of resist- ance.
43 Oven door glass The oven door is fitted with four sh eets of glass set next to one anoth- er . The inner sheets can be removed for cleaning. 1 Caution: The following steps are to be performed only when the oven door has been removed.
44 Replacing the centre glass plates 1. From above, insert the centr e plates obliquely into the retaining fr ame at the handle, one after another . 2. Lower the centre plates down and push them towar ds the lower edge of the door as far under the r etain- ing frame as they will go.
