5 1 Safety Electrical Safety • The appliance may only be connected by a r egistered specialist . • In the event of any faults or dama ge to the appliance: r emove fuses or switch off.
6 T o Avoid Damaging Y our Appliance • Do not line your oven with alumin ium foil and do not place a baking tr ay or dish on the oven floor , ot herwise the oven enamel will be damaged by the r esulting build up of heat. • Juice from fruit that drips from baking trays will leave marks that cannot be r emoved.

10 Befor e Using for the First Time Setting the Time 3 The oven will only function if the time is set. The set time function indicator will flash after the appliance has been connecte d to the m ains or followi ng a power failure. Use the + or - buttons to set the current time.
11 Initial Cleaning Befor e using the oven for the fir st ti me you should clean it thoroughly . 1 Caution: Do not use any caustic, abra sive cleaners! The surface could be damaged. 3 T o clean metal fronts use commer c ially available cleaning agents.
12 Using the Oven Switching the Oven On and Off 1. T urn the “oven functions” swit ch to the requir ed function. 2. T urn the “temperatur e selection” switch to the requir ed temperatur e. The r ed temperatur e pilot light is illu minated whi le the oven is heating up.
13 Oven Functions The oven has the following functions: L Oven lighting With this function you can illuminate the oven interior , e.g., for clean- ing. The heating element is not in use. ¡ Conventional For baking or r oasting on o ne level . The conventional heating elements ar e in use.
14 Inserting the Shelf and Universal Baking T r ay 3 Anti-tip device All slide-in units have a small bulge on the left and right. This bulg e is an anti-tip device and must always point to the r ear of the oven. T ray or universal baking tr ay: The anti-tip device must point to- wards the r ear of the oven.
15 Clock Functions Countdown G T o set a countdown. A signal so unds after the time ha s elapsed. This function does not affect the functioning of the oven. Cook time d T o set how long the oven is to be in use. End time e T o set when the oven is to switch off again.
16 3 Gener al information • Once a function ha s been selected the corresponding function indi- cator will flash for appr ox. 5 seconds. During this time the requir ed times can be set using the + or - button. • After the r equired t ime has been se t the function indicator will flash again for approx.
17 Countdown G 1. Pr ess selection button T re p e at e d - ly until the countdown function indicator G flashes. 2. Using the + or - button set the re- quir ed countdown G . (Max. 2 hour s and 30 minutes.) After appr ox. 5 seconds the display will show the remaining time.
18 Cook time d 1. Pr ess selection button T re p e at e d - ly until the cook time function indicator d flashes. 2. Using bu ttons + or - set the re- quir ed cooking time. After appr ox. 5 seconds the display will r evert to the time. The cook time function indicator d is illuminated.
19 End time e 1. Pr ess selection button T r epeatedly until the end time func- tion indicator e flashes. 2. Using buttons + or - set the time at which you w ant the oven to switch off. After appr ox. 5 seconds the display will revert to the time. The end tim e function indicator e is illuminated.
20 Cook time d and End time e combined 3 Cook time d and end time e can be used together if the oven is to switch on and off automatically at a later time . 1. Using the cook time d function sets the time r equired for the dish to cook. In this case 1 hour .
21 Changing Time W 3 The time can only be changed if neither of the automatic functions (cook time d or end time e ) has been set. 1. Pr ess selection button T re p e at e d - ly until the time W function indica- tor flashes. 2. Using bu ttons + or - set the cur- re n t t i m e .
22 Uses , T ables and Tips Baking Use conventional ¡ oven function for baking. Baking tins Coated baking tins and tins made of dark metal ar e suitable for conventional ¡ heat. Shelf positions Baking with conventional ¡ is only possible on one shelf position at a time.
23 Gener al information • Always count the shelf positions from the bottom upwar ds . • Insert baking sheets with the bevelled edge to the fr ont! • Always place cake tins in the middle of the shelf. • Y ou can also bake with two cake tins simultaneou sly with conventional ¡ .

33 Shelf Support Rails The shelf support r ails on the left and right hand sides of the oven can be r emoved for cleaning the side walls. Removing the shelf support rails Fir st pull the front of the r ail away fr om the oven wall (1) and then un- hitch at the back (2).
34 Oven Lighting 1 Wa r n i n g: Risk of electric shock! Prior to changing the oven light bulb: – Switch off the oven! – Disconnect fr om the electricity supply . 3 Place a cloth on the oven floor to pr otect the oven light and glass cov- er . 35 Oven Ceiling The upper heating element can be folded down to make it easier to clean the oven ceiling. Folding down the heating ele- ment 1 Wa r n i n g: Only fold down the heat- ing element when the oven is switched off and ther e is no risk of being burnt! 1.
36 Oven Door The oven door of your appliance may be removed for cleaning. Removing the oven door 1. Open the oven door completely . 2. Completely fold back the brass- coloured clamping lever on both door hinges. 3. Grip the oven door with both hands on the sides and close it to about 3/4 going past the point of resist- ance.
37 Oven door glass The oven door has two glas s plates, set next to each other . The inner plate can be r emoved for cleaning. 1 Caution: the following steps must be performed only with the oven door r emoved! If the glass is removed while the door is attached, the lighter weight may cause it to spring up and cause injury .
