Operating instructions 6 • Never use the dishwasher if the mains cable, inlet / drain hose ar e damaged or the control panel, work surface or plinth ar ea are dam- aged such that internal components of the appliance ar e openly accessible.

Operating instructions 9 Contr ol Panel The Control Field comprises the ON/OFF button and the progr amme buttons with LED indicators. Softener and Function Button: In additio n to the wash pr ogramme marked, the dishwasher's water softener is adjusted using a combina- tion of these buttons.
Operating instructions 10 Adjust the Water Softener To avoid the scale deposits on the dishes and in the dishwasher , the dishes must be washed with soft, i.e. low lime content, water . The dish- washer therefor e has a built-in water softener , in which tap water fr om a har dness of 4 ° d (German degree) is softened with the aid of special salt.
Operating instructions 11 5. Pressing the water softener button increases the hardness setting by 1. (Exception: har dness setting 0 follows hardness setting 9). 6. When the hardness setting is corr ect, pr ess the ON/OFF switch. The hardness setting is then saved.
Operating instructions 12 7. If you are not going to wash your dishes immediately , you should run the PRE W ASH p ro g ra m m e . T h i s w i l l w a s h a w a y s a l t w a t e r t h a t h a s r u n out of the container and any grains of salt that have been spilt.
Operating instructions 13 3. Fill with rinse aid, up to the broken line (maximum); this line corresponds to a quantity of approx. 150 ml 4. Replace the lid and tighten by turn- ing clockwise. 5. If rinse aid has been spilt, wipe up with a cloth. Otherwise there will be foaming during the washing.
Operating instructions 14 Loading Cutlery and Dishes 1 Sponges, household cloths and any object that can absorb water should not be washed in the dishwasher . • Before loading the dishes, you should: – Remove all scraps of food. – Soften remnants of burnt food in pans.
Operating instructions 15 Loading Cutlery 1 Long bladed knives stored in an upright position are a potential haz- ard. 1 Long and/or sharp items of cutlery such as carving knives must be posi- tioned horizontally in the upper bas- ket. 1 Take car e when loading or unloading sharp items such as knives.

Operating instructions 17 Loading Cups , Glasses and Coffee Services Load small, delicate items and long pointed cutlery in the upper rack. • Arrange items of cr ockery on the folding cups racks so that they are offset from each other and water can reach all items.
Operating instructions 18 Adjusting the Height of the Upper Rack 3 The height of the rack can also be adjusted when the rack is loaded. Lowering the Upper Rack: 0 1. Pull out the upper r ack to the stop. 2. Lift and lower the upper rack using the handle at the rear of the right hand cup rack.
Operating instructions 19 Filling with Deter gent 1 Use only dishwasher detergent. Fill with Detergent: – Prior to the start of a wash progr amme (not for the Pre W ash pro- gramme). The deter gent is released into the wash water during the progr amme.
Operating instructions 20 Bio W ash Progr ammes and Concentrated Deter gents Based on their chemical composition, dishwasher detergents can be split into two basic types: – Conventional, alkaline detergents with caustic components – Weak alkaline concentr ated detergents with natur al enzymes.
Operating instructions 21 Selecting the W ash Progr amme (Pr ogramme T able) Choose the most suitable wash progr amme with the aid of this table: 1) During BIO programmes the wash water is briefly heated to 60 ° C, so that the active oxygen ca n become effective.
Operating instructions 22 Start the W ash Progr amme 0 1. Check that when the dishes and cutlery ar e loaded into the dishwasher the spray arms ar e fr ee to rotate. 2. Open the tap fully . 3. Shut the door . 4. Press the ON/OFF button. The ON/OFF button indicator illuminates.

The progr amme indicator for the current wash pr ogramme flashes for a few seconds and then extinguishes. 2. Release the progr amme button, the wash progr amme is cancelled.
Operating instructions 24 Car e and Cleaning 1 Do not under any cir cumstances use furniture car e products or aggr es- sive cleaners. • If necessary , clean the contr ols only with a soft cloth and pure warm water . • The spr ay arms do not need cleaning.
Operating instructions 25 7. Put the flat filter back in the base of the washing compartment 8. Place the coarse/fine filter in the microfilter and pr ess together . 9. Put the filter combination in place and lock by turning the handle clock- wise to the stop.

If you call an engineer to r esolve a of fault listed here, or to r epair a fault caused by incorr ect use or installation, a charge will be made even if the appliance is in guarantee.
