Introducti on NDAS (Network Direct Attached Storage) soft ware makes MediaGate MG-35 as net work external storage system. PCs on Network recognize Hard Di sk in MG35 as separated Hard Disk Drive. File copying, deleting is possible via LAN. If you use ND AS function, you can use MG-35 as file serv er o r media server in your house and office.
1. Connect LAN Cable √ Please do not connect LAN Cable and USB Cable at the same time. √ PC has to hav e 10/100Mbps LAN Card to use network fu nction. Connect LAN cable to LAN port between IP Router or Hub. In this case, you have to use Direct LAN Cable type generally.
2. MG-35 set ting Please press [Setup] and going to Network setup ( Setup > Network). Plea se se t ‘NDAS ’ fu nct ion ‘On’ . After set all of these, please turn off MG-35 and turn o n again. Example>> DHCP: Off On IP Address: 192.168.
3. Ins tall ND AS S oftw are (1) Instal lShi eld Wizard Please insert CD and find folder ‘MediaGate MG-35 > English > NDAS Software’ Please double click ‘ndas-3.
•Software Init ializatio n • : For in stalling NDAS Software, plea se click ‘Install’. Initialization proceed like right sid e picture.. Click ‘I n s t a l l ’ √ If you see the caution refe rring ‘The Software you are installing has not passed Windo ws Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP.
(2) Connect MG-35 as NDAS device After Reboot PC, Please check if icons exist in ri ght bottom tray and desktop. After checking, please press right mouse button on NDAS Device Management icon. Please click rig ht mouse b utton on NDAS Device Management.
• Mount Setting • : Press right m ouse button on the icon in ri ght bottom tray Æ Select NDAS Dev ice Name (NDAS D evice 1) Æ Æ S elect ‘Mount’ - If you want to re ad and w rite file : sele.
√ Please check ‘My Computer’ if Hard Disk in MG-3 5 is conceived as Ha rd Disk Drive of loca l n etwo rk. (HDD in MG-35 looks like external Hard Disk Drive. C:, D:, E: or F: )If you cannot see Hard Disk Drive, please turn off MG-35 and turn on again.
