3 IMPORTANT NOTES In addition to the items listed under “USING THE UNIT SAFELY” on page 2, please read and observe the following: Power Supply 307 • Before connecting this unit to other devices, turn off the power to all units. This will help prevent malfunctions and/ or damage to speakers or other devices.
4 Connecting the DV-7DLC • Use the cable packed with the unit to make the connection. • Never try to connect two or more DV-7DLC units to one another. • To prevent malfunction and/or damage to speakers or other devices, always turn down the volume, and turn off the power on all devices before making any connections.
5 Part Names and Functions When you’re using the DV-7DLC as a controller for the PR-50, the buttons, sliders, and other controls on the DV-7DLC work differently than their functions indicated by the panel labels. For more information, refer to the Owner’s Manual included with the PR-50.
6 Part Names and Functions T-bar Mode Selector Button You to select the T-bar mode. • When the button is lit You can control the function assigned by “DV-7DLC T-Bar Control” under the Settings menu for the DV-7DL/DV-7DL PRO. • When the button is unlit When the A/B Roll feature is active (“on”), this switches the two Video tracks.
7 Part Names and Functions A/B ROLL Button The A/B ROLL button switches the A/B Roll feature on and off. * The DV-7DL is not provided with the A/B Roll feature. PUNCH IN/OUT Button The PUNCH IN/OUT button is the same operation as (the Punch Recording button) on the editing screen of DV-7DL series devices.
