EdgeStar Dishwasher 4 • Slowly open the hot water line and check for any sign of water leakage at all hose connections. If leaks are located, immedia tely close the water supply and repair the hose co nnections.
5 Disconnecting your Dishwasher • Close the hot water s upply at the faucet. • Disconnect the power s upply cord. • Remember to release the water pressure inside the inlet ho se. x The inlet hose is pressured wh en the water supply line is opened, even if closed immediately.

7 Properly Loading the Dishwasher A properly loaded dishwasher is key for optimal performance. Overfilling the dishwasher can reduc e the dishwasher’s effi ciency.
EdgeStar Dishwasher 8 Cutlery Basket Silverware should be plac ed in the cutler y basket with handles directed toward the bottom. If the rack has side baskets, spoons should be loaded individually into the appropriate slots. Knives and o ther sharp utensils should be placed in the basket with handles up.
9 Only Use Proper Deterge nt Use only detergent specifically made fo r use in dishwashe rs. Keep your detergent fresh and dry. Do not pu t powder detergen t into the dispenser until you are ready to wa sh dishes. The amount of de tergent to use depends on whether your water is hard or soft.
EdgeStar Dishwasher 10 NOTE: DO NOT USE HAND DISH DETERGENT Using a detergent that is not specific ally designed for dishwashers will cause the dishwasher to fill with suds.
11 Use Jet-Dry Rinse Agent Jet-Dry rinse agent removes spots and prevents new film build-up on your dishes, glass es, flatware, cookw are and plastic. Filling the Dispenser The rinse agent dispenser holds 3.5 oz. of rinse agent. Under normal conditions, this will last approximately one month.
EdgeStar Dishwasher 12 Starting the Wash Cy cle Once the dishwas her is fully loaded follow these procedures to s tart the wash cycle: x Ensure that the unit is connected to the powe r supply. x Ensure that the water supply is turned on to full pressure .
13 Forget to Add a Dish? A dish can be added an y time before the detergent cup open s. 1. Press th e START/PAUSE bu tton. 2. Open the door sligh tly to stop the washing. 3. You can open the door after the spray arms stop spinning. 4. Add rema ining dishes.
EdgeStar Dishwasher 14 Maintenance Filter System The filter system consists of a coars e filter, a flat (Main filter) And a micro filter (Fine filter). 1. M ain filt er: Food and soil particles trapped b y this filter are pulveriz ed by a special jet on the spray arm and washed down to drain.
15 Step1: Rotate the fine fil ter counter-clock wise; Step2: lift it up; Step3: lif t the Ma in filter up NOTE: Reverse the steps above to install the filter sy stem.
