2 1 Getting Started Th a nk yo u f or p ur ch a si ng t hi s E A GL E | C ON SU S I-SE R I ES pr od u ct . It s d u al SA T A to USB interface allows you to easily combine any two 3.5” hard drives into a single large volume by means of JBOD (Spanning) technolo gy .
4 2 Setting Up Y ou will need a 3.5 inch SA T A Hard Dri ve. Carefully follow these pr ocedures to install the hard driv e into the enclosure. Note: For pre-installed Hard Drive EAGLE | CONSUS en closure, pl ease skip thi s chapter and proceed to Chapter 3: Connecting the Drive.
6 3. Slide the f irst SA T A Har d Driv e into the D isk Mounti ng T ray , and con nect to t he SA T A con ne c tor on th e bo ard . 4. Tighten u p hard drive w ith 4 sc rews. 7 5. Place the sec ond SA T A Hard Driv e into the Di sk Mounting T ray , and connect to the SA TA connector on the board.
8 7. Slide the disk mounting tray back into the case carefully , and connect the power cable into socket. 8. Tighten up 4 screws at th e bottom of the ex ternal storage syste m.

12 Powerin g Up the D rive Press the po wer butto n to turn on t he unit. W ait 3 seconds after blue li ght illuminates. Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista Y our operating s ystem will automa tically detect t he external driv e after a “F oun d New Hardware” message pop up.
14 3. After New Partition Wizard launched, the n click Next. 4. On the next page, choo se your partitio n size then click Ne xt. 5. Afte r th at, p lease ass ign a drive lett er for the new H ard Dr ive, and go to Next . 15 6. T o format a Hard Drive.
