Remo ving the st and T o remove the stand from the stand column: 1 Lay your TV fa ce down on a tab le or bench.

8 Making conne ctions 2 Connect o ne end o f a coaxial c able (not included ) to the RF OUT jack on the a ntenna or on the cable or satellite T V box. If you are using an antenna w ith t win-lead cabl e, you may need a 300-75 ohm adapter (not provided) to connect it to the back of y our TV .

T o connect a camcorder or game: 1 Make sure t hat your T V’ s power cord is unp lugg ed an d the camcorder or gaming console is turned off .
10 Making conne ctions Note : A n HDMI picture can be displayed only when a 640 x 480, 480P , 720P , or 1080i signal is rec e ived . When you connect to the HD MI terminal with a DVI-HDMI con version cabl e, there is a p ossibility that the picture may not display correctly .
Turning o n your TV for th e first time 11 Connec ting an ex tern al audio dev ice T o connec t an external audio device: 1 Make sure t hat your T V’ s power cord is unp lugg ed an d the component video device is turned off. 2 Connect a digi tal optical ( T oslink) cable to t he SPDIF IN jack on the dig ital audi o device.

16 Setting p arental controls 2 Press or to highlight Channels , then p ress ENTER . The Channels menu opens. 3 Press or to highlight Cable S ca n , then press ENTER . Y ou will be prompted to confirm the channel scan. 4 Select Ye s , then pres s ENTER .

20 Adjust ing time setting s 4 Press or to highlight Ca ption Preference , th en press ENTER . The Closed C aption Pr efer enc e menu opens. 5 Press or to select an option.

The Set Date or Set T ime bo x opens . 5 Press or to selec t the date or time segment you want to change, then press or to a djust the se tting. For Da y , Hour , and Minute set tings you can use the number k eys to input the numer ica l valu es.
