6 About Your New Printer With your new RHINO 4200 la bel printer, you can create a wi de variety of h igh-qualit y labels. You c an choose to print your la bels in many different si zes and styles. The printe r uses RHINO Indus trial label cartridges in widths of 1/4”, 3/8” , 1/2”, or 3/4”.
7 Inserting th e Optional Battery Pack The printer can operate using an o ptional rech argeable, Lithium-ion battery pa ck (DYMO Li-ion Battery 7.4V 1400mAh). Make sure t he power adapter is disc onnected before hand ling the Lithiu m-ion battery p ack.
8 Selecting a Language The first time you t urn on the power, you are pro mpted to select your desired la nguage. By default, the language is set to English. Several language -related features of the printer, such as special char acters, menu text, and so on, are determin ed by the langua ge setting.
9 ALT Key The key is used to select the function or symbol printed abov e a key. For example, wh en you press , the number 9 appears in the display; however, if you press and th en , an asterisk ( * ) appe ars in the display. Escape Key The key canc els an action or exits from a menu without making a select ion.
10 Removing a Label You can remo ve a labe l from the cu rrent gro up. To remo ve a label 1 Press + . 2 Select one of the following: • All to remov e all of th e labels in the group. • Current to remove th e label at th e current cursor position .
11 Creating Multi-Line Labels You can print a maximum of five lines on a label. The number of lines you can print on a label dep ends on the label wid th you have selected. The display only show s one line of text at a time. Use t h e navigation keys to scroll through multiple lines.
12 Creating Breaker Labels A breaker label is a multi-cell label used to label a row of brea kers. You select the breake r height and number of breakers, enter the text for each breaker, and pr int. The result is a lo ng label with a text f or each breaker.
13 To add a barcode 1 Do one of the following: • To add a Code 39 bar code, press . • To add a Co de 128 barcode, press +. 2 Enter the text for the ba rcode with in the barcod e on the display and press . 3 Select whether or not to sh ow the ba rcode tex t and press .
14 4 Select the am ount you want to incremen t the character a nd press . You can choo se to increm ent in steps up to 10. 5 Select the number of times to increment and press . New labels are adde d in the display as need ed to complete the series. To print mu ltiple copie s of the sam e serialized la bel, see Printing Multiple Copies on page 15.
15 Recalling Labels Once a lab el is saved to the library, you can reca ll the label to print or edit. Re calling a label replaces the current labe l in the display. To recall a label 1 Press . 2 Select My Labels and pr ess . 3 Select the label to recall and pre ss .
16 To print and collat e multiple copies 1 Press + . 2 Select the num ber of copi es of the gro up of labe ls to print and press . 3 Select All to print all of labels in the group. 4 Press . 5 Select one of the following: • Yes to print collated. • No to print normally.
