9 Boxing t he I mpressio n Empt y the entire package of the pre -measured C elara ™ alginate into a clean mixing bowl and use the lower half o f the co nta iner full of water for the measure of water . It is impor t ant that you use the amount of alginate in the package with a full lower container of water .
Pou rin g the Cast Place the upper half of the con tainer over the lower half — making sure the serrate d top is punched out. T he upper and lower halves wil l seat, bu t will not snap or lock. Make sure the upper and lower ledges are seated correc tly .

The wa x pat t ern is ideal for obt aining records, as it was injected direct ly over the cast, a nd therefore wil l fit ( Figur e 19 ) . If t he dentist desires, a p ost dam ca n be cut into the ca st prior to injecting.
