Y our remote con tr ol is powered by a mini ature 12V battery , type GP23A, that will last appro ximately one year un d er norm al use. Wh en the battery weakens, operatin g rang e will be red uced an d the LED on the r emote will dim.
5 © 1999 Directed Electr onics , Inc . U sing Y our Sy stem Y ou can turn on, or arm, the system by pr essin g on your tran s- mitter for on e second. Wh en th e system arms , you will hear a short siren soun d, or chirp, and see th e parkin g ligh ts flash once (option al).
6 © 1999 Directed Electr onics , Inc . T o turn off, or disarm th e system, pr ess again. Y ou will hear two chirps, an d the parking li gh ts will flash twice (opti onal). If the sir en chirps four times wh en disarmin g, the system was tri g- ger ed in your absence .
7 © 1999 Directed Electr onics , Inc . If you are thr eatened in or near your vehi cle , you can attract attenti on by triggerin g th e system with your tran smitter! Just press for 1.5 secon ds, and you will en ter P anic M ode . The sir en will sound f or 30 seconds.
8 © 1999 Directed Electr onics , Inc . ■ If the curr ent setting is un acceptable , press to decrease the sen sitivity or to increase th e sensitivity . Each tim e is pressed , the unit will emit one chirp an d th e sensitiv- ity is decr eased one step.
