7 © 2000 Directed Electr onics , Inc . Arming your security system pr otects your vehicle to the f ollowin g degr ees: ■ Ligh t impacts trigger a W arn A way ® r esponse , causing the sir en to chirp and th e parking ligh ts to flash f or a few seconds .
8 © 2000 Directed Electr onics , Inc . If your rem ote transmitter is lost or d am aged , you can manu ally disarm your vehicle security system. T o disarm th e system with out a tran smitter , you must have th e vehi cle's igniti on key and kn ow wher e the V alet switch is located .
9 © 2000 Directed Electr onics , Inc . Use th e Silent Mod e to tempor arily turn off th e arm or disarm chirps by briefly pr essing befor e either arming or disarmin g. The confirm ation chirp(s) will then be elimin ated f or that one operati on only .
