To position the antennas FM feeder antenna: Extend this antenn a horizontally in a T shape and fix its en ds to the w all. AM loop antenna: Position for the best reception.
NOTE • In th is connection , the SUB WOOFER LINE OUT terminal on the DVD play er does not need to be conn ected to the receiver. • In the initial settings of th e DVD player, set th e SUBWOOFER mode of SETUP SPEAKERS to OFF. For details, see the initial settings in the instruction m anu al of the DVD player.
When pressing the TUNER button, prev iously tun ed station is received (Direct Play Function ). The POWER button is also available. Operation is possible after fou r seconds. To select the front speaker system To use speaker system A: Set th e FRONT SPEAKERS A bu tton to ON.

The ho ur stop s flashing and the minute starts flashing. 4 Press the DOWN or UP button to desig nate the minute.
Turn the BAL ANCE con trol. To mute the sound temporarily Press the MUTING button. "MUTE ON" appears on the display for four seconds. While muting the sound, the selected FUNCT I ON button flashes. Press the MUTING button again to restore th e sound.
ELECTRONIC GRAPHIC EQUALIZER This unit pro vides the following five diff erent equalization modes. ROCK: Powerful sound emphasizing treb le a nd bass POP: More presence in the v ocals and m idrange J .
The DSP (Digital Signal Processor) surround circu its can recreate the ef fect of sou nds reflected f rom w alls or ceilings, to obtain the soun d presence of real env ironm ents.

RECORDING AN AUDIO SOURCE 1 Select the program source to be recorded. Press one of the FUNCTION buttons. 2 Set the tape deck or MD recorder to the recording m ode. 3 Start the selected program source. To monitor recorded sound during recording (when the co nnected tape deck is a th ree-head system ) Press the TAPE MONITOR button.
MANUAL TUNING 1 Press the TUNER button repeatedly to select the desired band. When the TUNER button is p ressed while the pow er is off, the power is turned on directly . 2 Press the UP or DOWN button to select a station. Each time the button is pressed, the frequenc y chang es.
DIRECT TUNING When you know the f requency of the desired station, you can tune in directly to the station. 1 Press the TUNER button t o select a band. 2 Press the TUNER button and hold it down until "-" flashes on the display (Direct Tuning Mode).
The unit can store a total of 32 preset stations. When a station is stored, a preset num ber is assign ed to the station. Use the preset num ber to tu ne in to a preset station directly . 1 Press TUNER to select a ba nd, and press the UP or DOWN button to select a station.
