If the system does n ot disarm, you m ay have waited too long to pr ess the V alet switch; turn th e igniti on off an d repeat the pr ocess .

This cir cuitry is design ed to prevent repetitive tri gger sequences d ue to f aulty door pin switches or envi- ronm ental conditi on s such as th under , jackhammers , airport noise , etc .
11 © 2001 Directed Electr onics , Inc . Diagnostics The mi croprocessor at th e h eart of your system has th e ability to constan tly monitor all of th e switch es and sen sors connected to it. It can d etect any faulty switch es or sen sors and pr event them fr om disabling th e entire system.

If you hear five chirps wh en you disarm, this indi cates that a specific zone was tri gg ered so m any times that th e NPC ™ has bypassed that zone . In both cases, th e pattern of th e flashing status LED indi cates whi ch zone was trigg ered (see T able of Z on es).
