Quick Installation Guide Wireless N 150 Ultra Mi ni USB Adapter Model # AWLL5099 Install the Wireles s USB Adapter This Quick Installation Guide only provid es the basic installat ion instructi ons. For detailed instructions of other advanced features, please re fer to the User’s Manual that can be f oun d on the provided CD.
Windows XP/2000 Users : Windows 7/Vista Users :.
Step 1.3 Insert the Installation CD in th e CD ROM drive. The Autorun screen will pop up. Select Install Utility and Driver from the menu. Note: If the Autorun screen doesn’t appear automatically, g o to Start , Run , and type D:UtilitySetup.e xe (wh ere D is the letter of your CD ROM drive) and click OK .
Step 1 .5 Click Next to begin the installation. Please wait for Windows to finish inst alling the Airlink101 Wireless Monitor and driver for Airlink101 Wireless Adapter, and the utility. Step 1.6 Select Yes, I will restart my computer now . Click Finish to complete the insta llation.
Connect to Wireless Network Step 2.1 Click on the wireless ic on in the system tray at the bottom right- hand corner of your screen. Ai rlink101 Wireless Monitor sc reen will popup. Click on Available Network tab, a list of available network w ill be shown.
Step 2.2 Then, select the one you want to connect to and click Connect . Step 2.3 Enter the network security key if the wireless network you are attempting to co nne ct has wireless e ncr yption enabled. Click OK . The connection s hould be now est ablished.
Step 2.4 The Easy Setup Button(WPS compat ible button) is a new and easy way to con figure the encryptio n for your wire less n etwork clie nts, it is Wi-Fi compatible. In order to us e it, you need to ha ve a router th at supports this feature. I f your router does n’t support W PS compatible func tion, continue to Step 2.
3. The router will now st art the handshake with th e wireless Adapter. The connection will be esta blished in 2 minutes. Notice that there are cases that the WPS button o n the ro ut er to be pushed first be fore pushing the one on the adapter. Co ntinue to S tep 2.
Step 2.6 Enter the wireless se curity key into the Netwo rk K ey box if the network you are attempting to connect has wireless securi ty enabled. Click OK . The Adapter w ill automatica lly detect th e type of Network Authentication and the Data encryption.
Congratulations! You have now conn ecte d to the wireless network successfully ..
