Using the machine with respect and caution will considerably lessen the possibility of personal injury .
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR GRINDERS 3 1. DO NOT operate your tool until it is completely assembled and installed according to the instructions. 2. IF YOU ARE NOT thoroughly familiar with the opera- tion of grinders, obtain advice from your supervisor , instructor or other qualified person.
4 UNP ACKING AND CLEANING Carefully unpack the tool and all loose items fr om the carton. Remove the pr otective coating from all unpainted parts. This coating may be removed with a soft cloth moistened with ker osene (do not use acetone, gasoline, or lacquer thinner for this purpose).

9 Use proper extension cor ds. Make sur e your extension cord is in good condition and is a 3-wir e extension cor d which has a 3-prong gr ounding type plug and a 3-pole receptacle which will accept the tool’ s plug. When using an extension cord, be sur e to use one heavy enough to carry the current of the saw .

11 ST AR TING AND STOPPING GRINDER The “ON-OFF” switch (A) Fig. 18 is located on the front of the grinder . T o turn the grinder “ON” move the switch to the right, and to turn the grinder “OFF” move the switch to the left.
12 CHANGING GRINDING WHEELS CAUTION: DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER SOURCE BEFORE CHANGING GRINDING WHEELS. 1. When changing wheels, remove the thr ee scr ews (A) Fig. 20, attaching the side covers to the grinder and remove the side cover (B). 2. T o prevent shaft rotation, place a wedge between the grinding wheel (C) Fig.
