Switching on • Plug the pow er base into the mains socket. • Place the k ettle on the power base. • Press the ON/OFF switch down (fig.5) to switch the k ettle on.
Cleaning and maintenance Cleaning the k ettle • Allow the k ettle to cool down fully and disconnect the appliance fr om the mains befor e cleaning. • Do not immerse the k ettle or base in water . • Use a soft dampened cloth to wipe the outside of the k ettle and dr y with a soft, dry cloth.
Descaling It is vital to clean and descale the k ettle and filter regularly in order to maintain it in good w orking order . Failur e to descale your k ettle ma y invalidate y our guarantee . • It is recommended to use specific (stor e bought) products for descaling of k ettles.
