9 Connecting the appliance Important! Check that the mains pow er supply voltage corr esponds to the value indicat ed on the rating plate on the bott om of the appliance. Connect the appliance to an earthed and correctly installed socket with a minimum curr ent rating of 10A only .
10 MENU SETTINGS When you ac cess the programming menu by pr essing the MENU/ESC button, the following menu it ems are available: Rinsing Use this function to deliver hot w ater from the spout t o heat the internal circuit and mak e the coee deliver ed hotter .
11 “Enable?” if the function has been disabled);o 4. Press the button to disable ( or enable) energy saving mode; 5. T hen press the MENU/ESC button to exit the menu . When the function is enabled, if the machine is not used for about 1 minute, “Energy Saving” is displayed .

14 Making drinks with milk automatically The CAPPUC CINO , LA T TE, FLA T WHITE and HO T MILK buttons on the contr ol panel enable these drinks to be prepar ed automatically . Proc eed as follows: 1. Fill the milk c ontainer and attach it as described abov e.
15 T o modify these quantities, pr oceed as follows: 1. P osition a container under the spout. 2. Press the button again un til “Hot water Pr ogram quantity ” is displayed , then release the button. 3. When the hot w ater in the cup reaches the r equired level , press the butt on again.
16 T o remov e the drip tray: 1. Remov e the drip tray and the grounds c ontainer (g. 26); 2. Empty the drip tray and grounds c ontainer and wash them; 3. Check the r ed condensate tra y and empt y if necessary . 4. Replace the drip tr ay and grounds container .
17 2. Remove the milk spout and intak e tube. 3. T urn the froth adjustment dial to the “INSERT” position (see gure) and pull it o upwar ds. 4. W ash all the components thoroughly with hot w ater and mild washing-up liquid. All components ar e dishwasher safe , placing them in the top bask et of the dishwasher .
18 6. Press the MENU/ESC button to exit the menu. The machine is now r eprogrammed with the new w ater hardness setting WA TER FIL TER Certain models are tted with a w ater softener lter . If this is not the case with your model , you are r ecommended to purchase one fr om De’Longhi C ustomer Experience.
