Ho w to prepar e espresso coffee Filling the water tank Remov e the tank by pulling sidewa ys and lifting the intake tubes out of the water (fig. 1). Rinse and fill with clean cold water (fig 2). The water lev el is shown by a floating ball. Replace the tank in the housing, making sur e the tubes are in the water .
Ho w to prepar e espresso coffee using the filter holder for gr ound coffee 1. After preheating the a ppliance, the machine is ready to be used. Insert the ground coffee filter with cr ema enhancer into the fil- ter holder , making sure the tab is corr ectly inserted into the housing as shown in fig.

Press the steam button (fig. 17) and wait for the steam indicator light to come on (fig. 18). The OK indicator light indicates that the boiler has reached the ideal temperatur e for steam production.
2. With one hand, hold the cappuccino tube firml y and with the other unscre w the cappuccino mak er itself by rotating clockwise and extracting downwards (fig. 23). 3. Remove the nozzle fr om the steam tube by pulling it downwards (fig. 24). Note: Metal of steam pipe may be hot!!! 4.
Coffee Mak er 9 Cleaning and maintenance Befor e performing any cleaning or maintenance operations, turn the machine off, unplug it from the pow er sock et and allow it to cool down. 1. Do not use solvents or detergents when cleaning the coff ee mak er .
Cleaning the pod filter holder (if fitted) About ev er y 200 coffees, clean the pod filter holder as follows: • Push the filter holder button and remo ve the filter (fig. 33). Clean the inside of the filter holder . Never wash in a dishwasher . • Clean the filter thoroughl y in hot water using a brush.
Coffee Mak er 11 PR OBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSES SOLUTION Prob lem solving The pump is too noisy . • The water tank is empty . • Fill the water tank The espresso coffee is cold. • The ‘OK’ pilot light was not on when the coffee deliv- ery switch was pressed.
Coffee Mak er 12 PR OBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSES SOLUTION The coffee crema is dark (the coffee comes out slowly fr om the spout). • The ground coff ee is too tightly pressed. • The quantity of ground coffee is too much. • The espresso boiler out- let is blocked.
