23 Using Y our Inspiron Laptop 1 Power/Battery activity indicator – Indicates the following power/battery charge states: Solid white • – Computer is on, and the AC adapter is charging the battery . Solid amber • – Computer is in stand-by mode, and the battery charge is low .
24 Using Y our Inspiron Laptop T ouch Pad Gestures Scroll Allows you to scroll through content. The scroll feature includes: Pan – Allows you to move the focus on the selected object when the entire object is not visible. Move two fingers in the desired direction to pan scroll the selected object.
25 Using Y our Inspiron Laptop Zoom Allows you to increase or decrease the magnification of the screen content. The zoom feature includes: Pinch – Allows you to zoom in or zoom out by moving two fingers apart or bringing them closer together on the touch pad.
26 Using Y our Inspiron Laptop Multimedia Control Keys Y ou can configure the multimedia control keys on the keyboard using the Function Key Behavior in the System Setup (BIOS) utility . The options in the Function Key Behavior setting are: Multimedia Key First – This is the default setting.

37 Solving Problems Network Problems Wireless Connections If the wireless network connection is lost — The wireless router is offline or wireless has been disabled on the computer . Check your wireless router to ensure it is • powered on and connected to your data source (cable modem or network hub).
38 Solving Problems Power Problems If the power light is off — The computer is either turned off, in hibernate state, or not receiving power . Press the power button.
