18 Using Y our Projector 2 TEMP warning light • A solid amber TEMP light indicates that the projector is overh eated. The display automatically shuts down . T urn the d isplay on again after the projecto r cools down. If the problem p ersists, contact Dell.

20 Using Y our Projector Using the On-Screen Display The projector has a multi-language On -Screen Display (OSD) that can be displayed with or without a n input source pr esent. In the Main Menu, press or to navigate through the tabs. P ress the Enter button on the control panel or the remote control to select a submenu.

Using Y our Projector 23 C OLOR T EMP — Adjust the color temperature . The screen appears cooler at higher color temperatures and warmer at lower color temperatures. When user adjusts the value in the Color Adjust me nu, the Custom mode is activated, and values are saved in the Custom mode.
24 Using Y our Projector DISPLA Y (in PC Mode) V IDEO M ODE — Select a mode to optimize the display on how the projector is being used: PC , Movie , sRGB (provides more accurate color repr esentation), Game , and Custom (set your preferr ed settings).

28 Using Y our Projector Select On to enable password protection. A Please Key In the Password screen appears requesting you to enter a passwor d when the projector is powered on the next time. Select Off to disable password protection. NOTE: Password protection is disabled by default.

Glossary 43 Appendix: Glossary ANSI Lumens — A standar d for measuring ligh t output, u sed for comparing projectors. A standard for measuring the brig htness. It is calculated by dividing a square meter image i nto nine equal r ect angles, measuring the lux (or brightness) reading at the center of each rectangle, and averaging these nine points.
44 Glossary dB— decibel — A unit used to e xpress r elative differ ence in power or intensity , usually between two acoustic or electric signals, equal to ten times the common logarithm of the ratio of the two levels. Diagonal Screen— A method of measuring the size of a scr een or a projected image.
Glossary 45 Reverse Image— F eatur e that allows you to flip the image horizontally . When used in a normal forwar d projection environment text, graphics, etc, ar e backwards. Reverse image is used for r ear projection. RGB— Red, Gr een, Blue — typically used to describe a monitor that requires separate signals for each of the three colors.
