36 Using Y our Projector INPUT SELECT The Input Select menu allows you to select your projector ’s input source. A UTO S OURCE — Select Off (the default) to lock the current input signal. If you press the Source button when the Aut o Source mode is set to Off , you can manually select the input signal.

40 Using Y our Projector DISPLA Y (in PC Mode) Using the Dis play menu, you can adjust the display settings of your projector . The Pictur e menu provides the following opt ions: A SPECT R ATIO — Allows you to select the aspect ratio to adjust how the image appears.
Using Y our Projector 41 F REQUENCY — Allows you to change the display data clock fr equency to match the frequency of your computer gra phics card. If you see a vertical flick ering wave, use Fr e q u e n c y control to minimize the bars. This is a coarse adjustment.
42 Using Y our Projector DISPLA Y (in Vide o Mode) Using the Dis play menu, you can adjust the display settings of your projector . The Pictur e menu provides the following opt ions: A SPECT R ATIO — Allows you to select the aspect ratio to adjust how the image appears.

44 Using Y our Projector L ANGUAGE — Allows you to set the language for the O SD. P ress to activate the Language menu. P ROJECTOR M ODE — Allows you to select the projector mode, dependin g upon how the projector is mounted. • F ront P rojection-Desktop — This is the default option.

46 Using Y our Projector WIRELESS / NETWORK The W ireless / Network menu allows you to con figure the network connection settings. DHCP ADDRES S— If a DHCP server e xists in the ne twork to which the projector is connected, the IP addr ess will automatically be acquir ed when you select DHCP On .

48 Using Y our Projector OTHERS The Others menu allows you to change settin gs for Menu, Scr een, Audio , P ower , Security , and Closed Caption (for NTSC only). Y ou can also perform T est P attern and F actory Reset. M ENU S ETTINGS — Select and press to activa te menu settings.
Using Y our Projector 49 S CREEN S ETTINGS — Select and pr ess to activate screen settings. The screen settings menu consists of the following options: C APTURE S CREEN — Select a nd press to captur e the scr een display , the following message appears on th e screen.
50 Using Y our Projector P OWER S ETTINGS — Select and press to activate power settings. T he power settings menu consists of the following options: P OWER S AVING — Select Off to disable P ower Saving mode. By default, the projector is set to enter power saving mo de after 120 minutes of no activity .
Using Y our Projector 51 P ASSWORD — When P assword P rotect is enabled, a P assword Protect scr een reque sting you to enter a password will be displayed when the power plug is inserted into the electrical outlet and the power for the projector is first turned on.
52 Using Y our Projector 2 If you have entered an incorrect password, you will be given another 2 chances. After the three invalid attempts, the projector will automatically turn off. NOTE: If you forget your password, contact DELL™ or a qualified service personnel.
Using Y our Projector 53 C HANGE P ASSWORD — Key in the original passwor d, then enter the new password and confirm the new passwor d again. C LOSED C APTION — Select On to enable close caption and activate the closed caption menu. Select an appropriate cl osed captions option: CC1, CC2, CC3, and CC4.

104 Glossary Appendix: Glossary ANSI L UMENS — A standard for measuring the brightness. It is calculated by dividing a square meter image into nine equal r ectangles, measuring the lux (or brightness) reading at the center of ea ch r ectangle, and averaging these nine points.
Glossary 105 dB — decibel — A unit used to express r elative difference in power or intensity , usually between two acoustic or electric signals, equal to ten times the common logarithm of the ratio of the two levels. Diagonal Screen — A method of measuring the size of a screen or a projected image.
