1. Align the pin - 1 corner of the processor so that it points to the triangle on the system board, and insert the processor into the ZIF socket. When the processor is correctly seated, all four corners are aligned at the same height. If one or more corners of the processor are higher than the others, the processor is not seated correctly.

10. From the back of the computer, remove the two M2.5 x 8 - mm screws. 11. From the bottom of the computer, remove the two M2.5 x 8 - mm screws labeled "D." 12. Turn the computer top - side up and open the display. 13. Lift the display assembly out of the computer base.
4. Remove the six M2.5 x 5 - mm shoulder screws from the front of the bezel. 5. Starting from the inside edges of the bezel, use your fingers to pry the bezel upward and outward from the display panel. Release the sides of the bezel next; if necessary, use a plastic scribe to release the corners of the bezel from the display panel.

Press the release latch and remove the card or blank. For some release latches, you must press the latch twice: once to pop the latch out, and then a second time to pop the card out. Save a blank to use when no PC Card is installed in a slot. Blanks protect unused slots from dust and other particles.
Removing a Smart Card Grasp the smart card by the edge with your fingers, and then pull the card straight out of the computer. Installing a Smart Card You can install a smart card in the computer while the computer is running. The computer automatically detects the card.
