Exiting the application avoids conflict s if a new map replaces an existing map. T o exit the Navigation System: 1 Ta p t h e Navig ate menu and then tap Exit .

Sometimes you may need to use the GPS Options menu. Y ou ca n use auto detect or ma nually select a COM port and baud rate.

Owner’ s Manual 45 Route Preference: Fast est calculates routes based on t ime. Shortest calculates routes based on dist ance. Main Roads calculates rout es using major roads. Local Roads calculate s routes with local roads. Carpool: When checked , routes are calculated to incl ude High Occupancy V ehicle (HOV) lanes where available.

Owner’ s Manual 47 S peed alert Speed Alert notifies you with an audible sou nd when you have exceeded the target speed. The target speed can be set automatically by the c lass of the roadway or set to a fixed speed.

The address information must be acc urate for the Navigation Sy st em to find a match.
