22 Using Y our Projector 1 LAMP warning light • If the LAMP light is solid amber , replace the lamp (see Changing the Lamp on pa ge 41). If this problem p ersists, contact Dell (see Contacting Dell on page 47). • If the LAMP light is blinking amber , the projector automaticall y shuts down i ndicating a system failure.
Using Y our Projector 23 7 Down / Keystone adjustment Allows you to select options from the On Screen Display (OSD) menu. Y ou can also use the Down button to adjust the image distortion caused by tilting the projector . 8 Menu Allows you to activate the OSD.

Using Y our Projector 25 Using the On-Screen Display The projector has a multi-language On -Screen Display (OSD) that can be displayed with or without a n input source pr esent. T o navigate through the tabs in the Main menu, press the or buttons on your projectors control panel or remote control.
26 Using Y our Projector adjust the sett ings. To g o b a c k t o Main menu, go to Back tab and press the Enter button on the control panel or the r emote control. T o exit the OSD, go to EXIT tab and pr ess the Enter button or press the Menu button dir ectly on the control panel or the r emote control.
Using Y our Projector 27 AUTO-ADJUST Auto Ad just automatically adjusts the projector's FREQUENCY and TRA CKING in PC mode . While Auto Adjustment is in progress, the following message appears on the screen, " Auto Adjustment in Progress... ".
28 Using Y our Projector – Component cable (720p /1080i/1080p) P ROJECTOR I NFO — Displays the projector model name , the present input source and projector series number (PPID#). PICTURE (in PC Mode) Using the Pi ct ur e menu, you can adjust the display settings of your projectors .

Using Y our Projector 31 F REQUENCY — Allows you to change the display data clock frequ ency to match the frequency of your computer gra phics card. If you see a vertical flickering wave , use Fr e q u e n c y control to minimize the bars. Thi s is a coarse adjustment.
32 Using Y our Projector LAMP Using the Lamp menu, you can adjust the display settings of your projectors. The Pictur e menu, provides the following options: L AMP H OUR — Displays the operating hours since the last lamp timer r eset. P OWER S AVING — Select Ye s to set the P ower Saving delay period.

Using Y our Projector 35 P ASSWORD — Allows you to password protect the projector . This security utility enables you to i mpose a variety of access restrictions to prote ct your privacy and stop others from tampering with your projector .
36 Using Y our Projector d If the password verification is successful, you may resume with accessing the projector's functions and its utilities. If you have entered incorrect passwor d, you will be given another two chances. After the three invali d attempts, the projector will automatically turn off.
