Page 7 Recommendations for freshfood compartment • Please do not let any foods come into contact with the temperature sensor in the freshfood compartment. In order to maintain t he freshfood compartment at the ideal storage temperature, the sensor must not be interfered with by any foods.

Page 9 Placing and Installati on If the entrance door of the room where the refrigerator is to be installed is not wide enough for the refrigerator to fit through, then call an authorized service centre and have them remove the doors of your refrigerator in order that the refrigerator can fit sideways through the door.

Page 12 1.Freezer Compartment Setting / Icematic On-Off Button This function allows you to set the freezer compartment temperature. Press t his button to set t he temperature of the freezer compartment to -18, -20, -22 and -24 °C respectively. To stop ice for mation, press I cematic on-off button for 3 seconds.

Page 14 The freezer compartment Deep-freeze information • Food must be frozen as rapidly as possible when placed in a freezer to maintain its quality. • It is possible to keep f ood for a long time period only at temperatures of -18 degrees C or lower.

Page 16 Chiller compartments Use these compart ments for food t hat you want store at a temperature a few degrees below the fridge compartment. The inner volume of your refrigerator can be increased by r emoving any of the chiller compartments. 1. Pull the compartment towards yourself until it rests and stops against the stopper.
Page 17 W ater Dispense r (some models) The water dispenser is a very useful feature with regards to accessing chilled water without having to open the door of your fridge. Since you do not have to open the door of your f ridge frequently, you also save on electricity.
Page 18 Cleaning the water tank • Remove the water fil ling reservoir inside the door rack. • Remove the door rack by holding from both sides. • Grip the water tank from both sides and remove it by tilting it at a 45° angle. • Clean the water tank by removing its lid.
Page 19 Water tray Any water that drips whilst using the water dispenser accumulates in the drip tray. Remove the plastic strainer as indicated in the figure below. With a clean and dry cloth, remove the water that has accumulated WARNING: Connect only to a drinking water line.
Page 20 Auto Icematic (in some models) The Auto Icematic system allows you to obtain ice from the refrigerator easily. Remove the water tank in the fridge compartment, fill it with water and install it back to obtain ice from the Icematic.
Page 21 Using the Icematic Fill the Icematic with water and place it into its seat. Your ice will be ready in approximately two hours . Do not remove the Icematic from its seating to take ice. Turn the knobs on it clockwise by 90 degrees. Ice cubes in the cells will f all do wn into the ice storage container below.
Page 22 Replacing the light bulb • Contact your nearest Defy service centr e to arrange for a technician t o replace your refrigerator light bulb. Owner ’ s responsibilit y • Do not damage t he refrigerant circuit.
Page 23 Symptom Check The refrigerator does not operate. • Make sure the refrigerator plug is securely plugged in. • Check for a blo wn fuse or tripped circuit breaker. • Test the wall socket for po w er using another appliance. • Inspect the electrical co rd for damage.
Page 24 Symptom Check Freezer temperature is very low while the fridge temperature is sufficient . • The freezer temperature i s adjusted to a very lo w temperature. Adjust t he freezer temperature to a warm er degree and check. Fridge temperature is very low while the freezer temperature is sufficient.
Page 25 Symptom Check Condensation on the inner walls of refrigerator. • Hot and humid weather increases icing and condensation. It i s normal and not a fault. • Doors might have been l eft ajar; make sure that the doors are fully closed. • Doors might have been opened fr equently or left ajar for a l ong time; open them less frequently .
