5 P lanning T he I ns tallation VENTING REQUIREMENTS Determine which venting method is best f or your application. Ductwork can extend either thr ough the wall or the r oof. The length of the ductwork and the n umber of elbows should be k ept to a mini- mum to pr ovide efficient performance.

CALCULA TE THE DUCT R UN LENGTH The duct run should not exceed 35 feet if ducted six inch (6”) r ound ductwork. Calculate the length of the ductwork b y adding the equivalent feet in fig. 06 for each piece of duct in the system an example is given in fig.
10 5) Determine and mak e all necessar y cuts in the wall for the ductwork. Each euro hood is shipped fr om the factor y vented thr ough the top. In order to v ent to the rear , ductwork must run first vertical then elbow to the back. The dimensions for the duct openings ar e given in Fig.
