7 V ent Hood I n s tallation ( with s of f it ) INST ALL VENT HOOD INT O SOFFIT At this point in the installation pr ocess, the inner liner should be remo ved fr om the Hood and set aside (see-Pgs 5 & 6). With the liner set aside, there is clear access to the Soffit mounting holes and wall mounting holes in the rear panel of the unit.
8 V ent Hood I n s tallation ( without s of f it ) SITE PREP ARA TION: In cases where the installation site does not ha v e a soffit structure, the V ent Hood assembly ma y be secured dir ectly to the wall fr om the rear of the unit.
Fi n i sh i n g Th e In s t a l l a t i o n 9 T O FINISH THE INST ALLA TION Once the ventilation hood has been mounted in place it will be necessar y to install the electrical ser vice. All electrical work should be done by a qualified electrician and must conform to all local standards.
D uct I nfo rmation 10 GENERAL - When planning the path for ducting to the outside, keep in mind the following guidelines: - Minimize use of elbows and transitions in ductw ork as to maximize air flow to outside of building. An efficient airflow path contributes to the ov erall efficiency of the V ent Hood.
