OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS (cont’d) W A TER SOFTENER The hardness of the water varies from place to place. If hard water is used in the dishwasher , deposits will form on the dishes and utensils. The appliance is equipped with a special softener that uses salt specifically designed to eliminate lime and minerals from the water .
5 OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS (cont’d) DETERGENT DISPENSER The dispenser must be refilled before the start of each wash cycle according to the measurements provided in the “W ash Cycles” table on the previous page. Y our dishwasher uses less detergent and rinse aid than conventional dishwashers.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE CLEANING: T o clean the control panel use a lightly dampened cloth then dry thoroughly . T o clean the exterior use a good appliance polish wax. Never use sharp objects, scouring pads or harsh cleaners on any part of the dishwasher .
