7 Installation Instructions Backguard Kit Installation See page 3 for available model numbers and compatibility . If installing a backguard other than the standard size, install it before pushing the range into place. Install the kit according to the accompanying installation instructions.
8 Attach the self-rimming side panels included with the 1 1) unit by snapping the ball studs on the front into the back of the control panel and kick panel. The finished side of each side panel faces out. Fasten the top of each side panel to the control panel 12) with two of the included #8 x 1/4” T orx screws (A).
9 Door Removal Remove the door to make the range easier to move during the installation process. W ARNING Do not attempt to disengage the hinge catches with • the door removed from the oven. The hinge springs could release causing personal injury .
10 Installation Instructions Gas Connection W ARNING Make sure the gas is turned off at the gas supply • valve before connecting the gas line. V erify that the gas supply meets specifications before • connection. See page 4. Do not apply excessive pressure when tightening gas • connections and fittings.
11 Installation Instructions Moving the Range to Final Location Peel the protective plastic coating off of the range, 1) including the range door . Uncoil the power cord and route it to the electrical 2) outlet so that it does not become trapped behind the range when it is pushed back.
12 Installation Instructions Cooktop Assembly W ARNING Never attempt to operate the range’s cooktop with any of the burner rings, burner caps or grates removed. Remove the burner rings, burner caps and grates from 1) their shipping cartons. Install the burners as shown.
13 V erifying Proper Operation W ARNING Before operating the range, read the accompanying use and care manual completely . Before beginning the test procedure, 1) make sure all range control valves are in the “ OFF” position, and all burner rings, burner cap and grates are properly positioned on the spill tray .
