7 Use this appliance for grinding coffee beans as described within the instructions for use which accompany it. Please retain these for futur e ref erence. For indoor use onl y . For domestic use onl y . Alwa ys ensure that y our hands ar e dr y before r emoving the plug from the mains outlet.
8 Unpacking Instructions Place the box on a large, sturdy at surface. Remov e the instruction booklet and any other literatur e . T urn the box so that the back of the coff eemak er is down and slide the coffeemak er from the box. Remov e scoop and char coal water lters located in front of the unit.
9 N.B. When scr olling, the n umbers will advance slowly and then speed up . When the number displa yed appr oaches the desired time, press and r elease to advance one digit at a time. N.B. Be sur e the PM indicator is on if a PM time is desir ed.
10 Exiting Set Pr ogramme Time Mode Press and r elease “Programme Set” button. Press an y function besides “Hours” or “Min utes” to exit mode and activate the selection function. N.B. If y ou do nothing for a period of v e seconds the mode will be excited.
11 Lift the water lter holder out of the water reservoir . Press do wn on the lter compartment and pull toward y ou to open. Place lter into the holder and snap it closed. N.B. Caution must be used when inser ting the char coal lter .
12 Lift the grinder bask et lid using the recess on either side. Fill the bask et with the desired quantity of beans. N.B. Use 1 le vel scoop of whole beans per cup . For 1 to 4 cups, use 1½ lev el scoops per cup . Do not add mor e than 14 scoops.
13 Restarting the process will not affect coff ee results. I f y ou d o n ot wan t t he gri nde r t o c ome on aga in, pr ess the “Gri nd Off ” but ton be fo r e p r ess ing th e “On/Off ” but ton . Inserting the Coffee Filter Press the lter bask et door release button to open door .
14 The Glass Carafe T o position the lid befor e brewing, insert the front tabs of the lid to wards the pouring spout and push down at the r ear until it clicks into place. Place the glass carafe with its lid on, onto the warming plate, you ar e now r eady to bre w .
15 Bre w ed Coffee When the bre wing cycle has completed, 5 beeps will sound and the unit will automatically shut itself off. Coffee will continue to str eam from the lter for se v eral seconds. The bre w-thr ough, pour thr ough lid allows coffee to drip fr om the appliance through the closed lid.
16 F Bre wing 1-4 Cups This function bre ws the coffee at a slo wer rate to extract maxim um a v our from the coff ee for a mor e r ounded a vour in just 1-4 cups. Add 1½ scoops of coffee beans per cup to the grinder bask et and t the grinder lid.
17 Cleaning & Maintenance Alwa ys clean and dr y all par ts after ev er y use. Alwa ys turn the appliance off and remo v e the plug from the mains outlet bef ore cleaning. Open the reservoir lid. Remov e the grinder basket lid by using the r ecessed area on each side of the lid.
