6 SETTING UP YOUR COFFEEMAKER 1. Unwrap cord and plug the coffeemaker into a grounded outlet. Make sure to remove all stickers and packing materials from the unit. 2. Place a large cup or mug (10 oz. minimum) on the drip tray . 3. Remove lid from wa ter reser voir , then lift reservoir straight up and a way from the coffeemaker .
7 5. Flush filter by running fresh water through the hole in bottom of compartment for 10 seconds. 6. Allow the filter to drain completely . 7. Place the assem- bled wa ter filter holder into the water reservoir , pushing it down to fit into place (see figure 3).
8 NOTE: The maximum capacity for ground coffee is 16 scoops (16 tablespoons) for this coffeemaker . Exceeding this amount may cause overflo w if the coffee is too finely ground. 5. Before brewing coffee Make sure the wa ter reservoir is on the unit and the reservoir lid is on the reservoir .
