3 FOREWORD The Cub Cadet Commercial , Walk-Behind, Rotary Mowers have been developed for use by professional land scapers, commercial lawn se rvice companies, professional turf managers and golf course superintendents. The machines incorporate many safety features that should be studi ed by all operators and main tenance personnel before use.

Retain Ope rator’s Manual in a safe place for future reference. 2. Do not allow anyone to operate or maintain this machin e who has not read the manual.

7 SPECIFICATIONS OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS A. Controls 1. Ignition Switch: (Recoil Start) Located in the center of the control panel between the handles. When th e key is inserted and turned clockwise 90 degrees, the engine can be started if the transmission shift lever is in ne utral and th e blade clutch is disengaged.

When the handle is pushed forward it snaps to rest and forces the idler pulley into the blade drive belt causing the blades to rotate.

10 CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT TABLE Note: The front edge of the cutting de ck should be 1/8” - 1/4” be low the rear edge of the deck so that the blades are cutting grass in only the front half of their circular path . Th is decreases friction and reduc es the drive power re qui red.
